    Right I will give that a go. So I would essentially plug a cable into uplink one that would go to the NVR and then plug a cable into uplink 2 that would go to the other switch into uplink 2

    Right okay. What ports would I connect the Cat5e to on each switch? Do you just add the switch in the same was as adding cameras? How do you get the cameras to go on to the switch and some to the NVR?

    Right okay. How would I add two switches to the NVR. As it’s at two ends of the building with the NVR in the middle? Also how would you do it in the gui of the nvr. So from complete scratch of adding the NVR and cameras onto the switch?

    Camera randomly going off

    It’s a Dahua 5MP IP Camera with LED Lights. It’s connected with an RJ45 Plug. Access is through the NVR and when I’ve added the camera. The status is showing green in the Camera menu on the NVR.

    I’ve a weird issue with a Dahua IP Camera it works and then all of a sudden it says network unreachable. It finds the cameras okay and the status is showing green. Any ideas?

    Couldn’t get it to work. Changed the ip address of the DVR and the other camera went off. Then changed the one that I was adding to a ip address in the range of the dvr and nothing. Definitely think it’s a laptop job.

    Sorry it’s connected to a Poe switch the NVR is a hybrid.

    So I would be better with a new NVR? Also I have the display resolution on 4K, which is probably not helping. Any suggestions for an 8 or even 4 way? I’ve also a 6TB HDD which I may increase so I can use the maximum Bitrate.

    To answer your question: I’m just after the best quality that will look excellent on my OLED TV. I also have a long garden it’s about 60ft long so I’m looking to see if I can get a camera that can go somewhat the distance. I have a good budget. So I would want to buy the best.

    Right okay that may explain it. It’s a 55” Sony OLED. I’ve another thread that mentioned the setup and shows images. I will be honest I paid £500 for it all. Would you recommend changing the NVR? Or are the cameras low end too?
