    New Computer introduced at CES

I'm with you. All my computers are Dell. I bought a refurbished HP Win XP Pro tower 5 years ago for my other editing suite to have available 5.25" bays for pull out rack drives and it's been nothing but problems - no preview on capture, cannot control sound in editing programs - a real heap. It...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

That type of setup has too many moving parts for me. I use NVRs, as for me, they require the least amount of maintenance to keep the system operational. Yeah, it is nowhere near as feature rich as Blue Iris, but I have enough things to eat up my time, and most of the features wouldn't apply to...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

NVR has internet access for notification and playback of events when away from home. All cameras are connected directly to the built in POE ports. Unless I did something wrong in setup, if I enable Onvif for a non-Dahua camera for compatibility, it uses an outside port. I believe 35000.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

My only experience with using "Onvif" selection to make a camera compatible with the NVR was that the camera became visible to the outside world. It was no longer hidden by the NVR due to the port used. I definitely need to avoid that practice for security reasons. I would probably need...

    Loryta PTZ5A4M-25X Animal Tracking Example

I didn't think this camera had sound. Was a mic added externally or dubbed in from another camera? Also, what firmware are you using on this camera?

Review- EmpireTech IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 4mp Varifocal Turret

You could also test with the camera mounted to a junction as that would increase the distance from the soffit. I would also experiment with moving the camera location as close as possible to the outside edge of the soffit. Those 2 things should help make a significant improvement

    Viofo randomly shuts off?

Have had Viofo for years. They seem to work best with Samsung high endurance SD cards. I believe Viofo specifically recommends Samsung over SanDisk

MS Edge Explorer option removed Windows 10 in latest update

Up until yesterday, I had an IE mode icon where the user icon is now on the right of the navigation bar. I would bet the goal is to eventually force an online user account so that you and all your activity can be tracked. Basically spyware. No privacy

MS Edge Explorer option removed Windows 10 in latest update

Ok, this works. I used to have an IE icon in the right side of the address bar in Edge to use IE mode, but that disappeared with yesterday's update. Good to know one can still use IE
