    Nice! Got a couple more hours before the rest and sear, we shall see. I went in last minute grocery shopping yesterday and they had the sexiest looking prime rib I’ve ever seen; Japanese A5 wagyu, marbling looked just like this. At the low cost of a $100 a Lb!

    Your nvr is capable, you’d have to run an extra pair with an additional psu. I’d also make separate additional ivs rules for night or whenever you’re not going to be there to trigger horn/light.

    Op might be referring to US dahua model numbers. It’s always been a pain trying to compare cams and nvrs with all the ones everyone here uses; Andy’s dahua numbers are completely different from US for the exact same hardware.

    If you have a non ptz cam try it out there. Your ptz is probably needing to much power for that distance without having that extender in the middle. And I’m not sure about Hik but dahua has their Epoe that requires both epoe port on nvr/switch and, epoe camera. But I’m not sure they have a epoe ptz.

    Well Hikvision has an ip one for about $140 DS-2CD2D25G1-D/NF Sperry West has several from clocks to smoke detectors from $2-500 range. Speco and Dahua have pinhole ip/poe ones, dahua is about $350. Keep in mind the legality's and your state laws of “reasonable expectation of privacy”

    Well I don’t know what your budget is but you’d probably be happier with something that is meant to do that. Tablets always seem to need restarting or at least relaunching the app after timeouts. Hiks video monitor is a 7” display with WiFi and 12vdv as well as poe for $350 DS-KH8350-WTE1

    It’d be pretty cool if you had a upc that could communicate with a nvr and drop a second drive, an ssd, and only use that while running on bbu at a third the draw of primary hdd.

    Not happening. You can use AI by recorder if you get a high end model nvr for IVS features, but you’ll have to plug the cameras into a poe switch.

    I’d imagine you’re trying to budget a BBU? I personally would rather know for sure then go by specs. You can spend $12 and know what your day vs night draw is...
