Picked up a pcie and m2 board from mouser instead. So got all 3 options, existing usb which has been brilliant and now will try out the slots once they arrive.
They were only 24usd!
ok thanks - got my CPAI running as a docker container on my NAS server (unraid) as this has the gpu.
Blueiris on a VM on proxmox.
If the NAS goes down for whatever reason then obviously have no connection. I have codeproject on the proxmox also as a proxmox lxc as a backup. Had to swap it over...
What set up in the tool did you use to have a 2nd server of codeproject/deepstack to only use if the 1st option fails?
I've used several different services with different ports to work together on the same server but not before in the tool to failover to another url/port if the 1st one fails...
Great - that's why I was considering going back to it for redunancy and the extra stationary object function was very useful.
So still all working fine I see.
Is the developer still maintaining it do you know?
I ran DS for a good 2 years until Blueiris was more developed with CPAI.
Swapped over to CPAI and been very happy with it so far.
I have codeproject on another server as a container and works great
Is this still maintained? Anyone still using it?
Been a while since I last used it. See the last version was 8 months ago.
Or with the advancements and development of BI and CPAI most have stopped using it?
Some of the finer adjustments were useful
Looking at setting up another site and need a coral tpu usb. All seem to be out of stock as usual at normal prices.
Anyone know if any are due to arrive soon?
Thanks
10 cameras running windows 10 enterprise SPECTRE light. Very stripped down version of windows - VM has 2GB of ram assigned but only uses 1.2GB RAM!!!
Rock solid
Bought a pair locally - my ezviz cameras have been rock solid for 4+ years.
Gone for the new 2023 model H3C (1/2.7 sensor) 1080 2mp model. 66 USD.
https://www.ezviz.com/product/H3c/42661
They do the job, connect to BI and frigate without issues and have the ezviz desktop studio to tweaks some...
Thanks but unfortunately it doesn't work like that here. Got to buy and ship through a specialist company here who receive the items from amazon in Miami and then organise the shipment and customs papers to Uruguay (all linked to my residence ID).
We can only import items up to 3 times a year...
Too embarrassed to state my budget  (also restricted by import limits as I'm buying from USA to be sent to S.America)
I'll remove the 2k cameras with 1/2.7 sensors from my bucket and go back to 1080 I think.
Many thanks
yellow is acceptable/borderline I assume.
wow first amcrest I looked up with a 1/1.2 sensor came up with a 400 usd pricetag!
ok may have to lower my expectations or increase my budget
My ezviz 1080 cams at the moment have 1/2.7” Progressive Scan CMOS
ah great info thanks. So if I cannot find a camera in my budget that is in green with the particular sensor size then best opt for a lower res one.
The ones I had in mind have a 1/2.7. Looks like 1080 is about their limit (green).
Anything from 4mp requires a 1/1.8 sensor size to work well in...
Hi all,
I need to buy a couple new cameras and am confused about whether to get normal res cams (1080) or a higher res model (2k/4k).
With a higher res camera is the night vision impaired due to it needing more light?
At nigh time I have all my 1080 cams set to colour day mode and have exterior...
Thanks didn't spot that.
All mine had defaulted to 2 triggers in 3 seconds which is a bug (although I haven't read the release notes yet so may have missed something).
Had to go into each camera and each profile to update these. Just toggled down the trigger to 1 and the seconds greyed out...
Unfortunately had to rollback to 5.7.9.12
My motion detection stopped working on 5.8.0. Thought it had been quiet outside for the last 24 hours!
Haven't had time to look into it.
I'm trying to get CPAI working fully on a debian docker container within proxmox. The service is running.
BUT when I try to analyse the images they just sit in the queue 'objectdetection_queue '..
Tried tweaking some settings like network from bridge to host etc.

Last night I moved my BI on dedicated pc with Win10 to a VM on Unraid server using Windows 11 tiny iso.
After some initial issues with getting the GPU passthrough seems to be going ok.
But I cannot seem to get yolo 6.2 cuda working with the GPU. Worked fine on the win10 machine.
So on the 5.2...
Mine is amd based (ryzen 4300g) with proxmox.
As mentioned YOLOv5 6.2 worked fine on the same cpu but windows direct.
yep at least it's working on .net but will look into it further
ah ok - must be a solution somewhere. Mine worked best on 6.2 before I virtualised windows. Mine now is AMD based proxmox.
Ran the Cudnn bat file thingy also. Followed the same installation steps as I did on my original windows.
Any ideas why 6.2 will not work with my gpu gtx970 now?
Works fine on the .NET. This is since I moved to a virtualised windows environment.
Am I missing some files/programs for the cuda to work?
GPU passthrough is fine
well my gpu stopped working with YOLOv5 6.2.. but might be related to the move to a windows vm and passthrough. Not sure yet. v5 .NET is working on gpu luckily
What a couple of days!! Migrating my windows server to proxmox running as a vm and gpu passthrough!! Went through 4 iterations of windows vm's at least.
Blew gaskets trying to get the gpu working gtx970. Used so many guides and found only one worked for my system.
Was that grub line. So many...
Been playing around with vmware exsi 7.
Span up a win 10 vm. Installed bi and codeproject etc
Seems to be stable and lightweight.
Plan is to replace my windows server for this.
Also will run truenas on the host
Just hope I can pass through my gtx970.
Had an amd 4100 I passed through just to...
youtube it. I built one about 3 years ago for deepstack, I don't recall really, was a bit fiddly and took 12 hours to build on an i7 7700. There is an amazon cloud platform I believe you can run it on also
Not sure about CP.
hmm I imagine their model of racoons is kind of limited. Ever looked into making your own model with a collection of your racoons?
and if you exclude dog/cat I guess it won't pick up racoon unless you push many images fast it might identify the occasional one
