    Thought I'd report that this camera has been rock solid down to -28 degrees C. I have a Trendnet Wifi cam on a protected deck that disappears after -12 or so.

    The longer the circuit is closed, the longer the camera has no (or significantly less) power, so there's likely a safe limit before you start having the camera wig out or reboot.

    My bad. I was using jpeg best quality, since the places I view the web interface from usually have good bandwidth. Saw another post that mentioned audio and h.264 and that clued me in. Works fine on those streams. Thanks

    Good point. I'm hoping they'll add a config option to disable the IR entirely. My Hik 2032 on the front of the garage has it disabled, and it's fine in the ambient light, though there's a bit more light out front.

    Interesting, the glare is a fair bit worse tonight. I suspect that it's because there's less ambient light (no low cloud cover and falling blowing snow reflecting the street lights) so the IR may be brighter, hence more reflection.

    Can't say about the NVR, but don't see why it wouldn't. There is an app for the iPhone, and by default (as far as I know) it only alerts on doorbell press.

    Obviously a firmware update can't change the physical problem of reflections, but maybe they've added some control over the IR LEDs. I bit the bullet and ordered last night. Will take over a week to get to Canuckistan.
