    Mine crashed just after applying windows updates. I dropped it back to a previous version and waited for the next update. No problems since.

    Check your logs in BI. (Blue Iris Status, then Connections) If you are making the connection to BI, it will show, then you can see if it is an authentication error. Can you connect on the local network, but not remote?

    Not sure about the power requirement. If you have the walls open, 3 things CONDUIT, CONDUIT, CONDUIT. You will be happy you did, I put a lot in my house and wish I would have done more.

    If you want covert, thermal cameras would work. But you will need deep pockets. See if your camera has a smart IR option, my Hikvisions do and I think it will adjust to prevent being too bright, which would mean lower IR output.

    There are a few times during the day when you need the WDR, luckily I have a couple more cams in the area that get a good facial view as they approach. If I adjust the WDR it causes issues at night. I could probably do day and night profiles on the camera, just too lazy for that :nuts:.

    BI High CPU usage

    I do live view at 5fps and record at 10fps. That keeps your usage fairly low. I have 9x 3MP and 1x 1.3 cams.

    BlueIris probably doesn't look at AppCompat in the registry since it isn't installed by BlueIris. So the uninstall wouldn't look there. Glad it was resolved. I wonder how many people are looking at that registry setting to see if a quirky app is in there. :rapture:
