    Hikvision DS-2CD2x32-I (R0) brick-fix tool / full upgrade method / fixup roundup.

Check if the tftp updater is still probed at power-on. Check if telnet is still accessible. Best arrangement is power with 12v and both PC and camera on their own switch ports.

    Hikvision DS-2CD2x32-I (R0) brick-fix tool / full upgrade method / fixup roundup.

You can't convert the camera to EN and get it to accept the EN firmware without changing the language byte in the flash partition and adjusting the checksum bytes. It does look like ChatGPT has misled you again. Check the step by step instructions in the first post.

    Hikvision DS-2CD2x32-I (R0) brick-fix tool / full upgrade method / fixup roundup.

No, the next step was to follow the instructions to edit the flash partition to change the region from CN to EN. After that you can update with the international firmware. It seems that ChapGPT has misled you on the needed steps. Check the instructions on the first post, and also the YouTube video.

Alternative way of recovering HikVision NVR password

The 'trojan horse method' of finding an NVR admin password depends on the fact that apart from the later versions of NVR firmware, it was the NVR admin password that was used to 'activate' an 'inactive' camera when first plugged in to an NVR PoE port. And then the backdoor vulnerability of...

Alert on simple contact closure. Any suggestions?

How does that do recording? It seems just to be a set of USB controlled relays. Unless I've misunderstood the spec. Many cameras, and more NVRs, have the ability to trigger recordings from wired alarm inputs.

    New Shed - Camera Suggestions

And unless because it's not yet completed, and none of the ties are yet in place, what's to stop the roof from simply lifting up / moving due to air pressure fluctuations from wind gusts?

Hikvision NVR 256-CH No enough network bandwidth

There are 4 ethernet interfaces. If you can trunk them all, this will give you the needed capacity, and spread the load.

Hikvision camera admin password reset tool

It depends on what firmware vulnerabilities can be exploited. These do eventually get fixed. What firmware version does SADP show that the camera is using?

    Time-lapse help?

There are a variety of programs and apps that could do that, many of which are just plug&play. I've used ffmpeg under Linux (also available for Windows, but I don't know if there are differences) to create timelapse videos from stills. It's quite a complex package, but it does provide a...
