I am so tired of my HIK Vision NVR. Hanwha? Lorex? Problems with keeping the HIK cameras?
My company was an authorized dealer for Toshiba business phone systems. Sold those things like crack. Thousands of customers in NV. Just like Dahua, regular customers could never call directly to Toshiba. Only to us, who sold them the telephone system. Home clients were never our target...- Holbs

We had to install a couple Verkada POE++ 4lens 360 cameras. $4,000 a piece? No thanks against my puny wallet. Probably AOK for CEO wallet. Though, I am thinking of getting my techs certified on their IP cameras & alarm system (similar to Dahua's Lync system of camera + alarm) because very few...- Holbs

Dahua: all in one answer for home security?
Andy just told me the bodycam MTP230 is $400'ish so that is a no go (for my use). I just may sign up to become a Dahua "partner" and work with Andy alot more closely and/or authorized dealer such as ADI. Wish Graybar USA was authorized dealer but Dahua says only Graybar Canada. I'll have to... -

Empirecandy IPC-T5442T-ZE + Ubiquiti and AI
Let the camera handle all IVS related events to send ONVIF alerts to Unify. The Dahua cameras "should" be superior than Unify AI. Only way to find out.. is to try for couple weeks using camera AI. And then couple weeks using Unify AI. can't help you with 'spotlight' issue.- Holbs

You are correct. Does come with arm. Didn't see it under the packing. FYI: does have HUMAN only auto-tracking (no doggies). Does have the AI functions for IVS like tripwires, loitering, parking detection, etc for the 180. Looks like not possible for the PTZ though (could be... maybe I just...- Holbs

This camera does require a Dahua PTZ arm mount. Which I did not get (oopsie). So temp clamp works for quickie testing.- Holbs

The camera is not straight. It's just clamped to a pole to get it up in the air. Not leveled or securely mounted. Temp situation :) I gets pretty dark in my neighbor's back yard there. Waiting to see the night images.- Holbs

And for Blue Iris... have to add camera with IP address/user/pass and then 'find' button. Have Channel1_MainStream and Channel1_Substream for the camera. clone the camera so you have to re-add it with ip addres/user/pass and then 'find' button. Have Channel2_MainStream and...- Holbs

Hmm... good question. I would imagine it is a single camera with 2 channels (180 view + PTZ view). Maybe I should take home and slap into my Blue Iris to see, tomorrow.- Holbs

We have a PTZ3E10X-T180 in our shop that we still have to install into our Dahua NVR. A little under $400 via Andy. 180 degrees for the static "stitched" camera. PTZ has 10x optical with 4mm-40mm focal length Focal LengthOverview channel: 2.8 mm; Detail channel: 4 mm–40 mm- Holbs

Just wanted to say... I gambled on the Dahua WiFi Floodlight (IPC-L46N-USA). Glad I did
