Add Sunrise Sunset to Time Plan Settings

No you need 2 BI profiles....one will be day and one will be night. In my case I used Green profile 1 for day and red profile 3 for night as its shown in pics. I use profile 2 for something else, but you can use whatever you want.

Add Sunrise Sunset to Time Plan Settings

OK, It works best if you go into Blueiris settings/schedule and the create a new schedule Day_Night. You can call it whatever you want but do it here and save it. Then you can use that saved schedule for each camera. For example: Creating the schedule takes some patience as it is a learning...

Wouldn't it be great if people just grew up?

Looks like a waste of paper to me. ;)

Add Sunrise Sunset to Time Plan Settings

Yes, but that was before Ken added "Action sets" Now you no longer need to mess with PTZ presets on each camera, one camera can change all the cams day/night profiles with a lot less clutter.

I am not the best in detailed instructions, but I sure will try to answer any questions if you need any help.

Add Sunrise Sunset to Time Plan Settings

I have talked about using the "action set" feature that is under each cameras/settings/schedule/events schedule. Here is how mine is set up: You can read how in Blueiris's forum here: https://blueirissoftware.com/BBS/viewtopic.php?t=5267 Note: when you put string in the web request use...

Add Sunrise Sunset to Time Plan Settings

Or if you use Blueiris, it will change the camera's day/night profile for you exactly at sunset/sunrise or +- anytime you choose.

    Version 6

Guess Santa needs to bring you a new purple drive pronto :) getting hard to find this size.

    Version 6

You also could try to reformat the drive; it may be so defragmented. I have also seen some error like this a long time ago when my WD Black took a crap. I run 3 4TB 5400 purples and have for over 5 yrs with no issues.

Corner Mount Bracket Installation Best Practice Advice Request

Most of the time they use a 4 stud corner if using 2x4. If this is the case, you will be fine using any 2.5" deck screw or even better a lag screw (like what they always include with TV wall mounts) if you are really worried. I have hung a very heavy 45x PTZ using deck screws and washers on that...

    Version 6

I had trouble on 2 of my installs with this. I found its best to completely uninstall CPAI and delete the folders. Then reboot. Also, I had to toggle between "NO GPU" and GPU modes in the BI AI, each time stopping the BI service and restarting it. But I did get it to work on all of my installs...

    The Nostalgia / VINTAGE Thread

My first IP camera. 2007 Bought it off eBay for $200 and it was brand new. Took me several days to just figure out how to communicate to it. Before this it was X10 anaconda cams I used to monitor my shop. Of course, then I had the challenge of building an enclosure. Not long after that I...

BI6 new built in AI beta 6.0.1.0

    Version 6.0.1

I would think you do it within the coco.names file. 6.0.1.2] – 2025-12-18 Changed • Optional built-in AI processing using YOLOv8 ONNX models. Optional face recognition when humans are detected and license plate OCR when vehicles are detected. • Registry location for all AI settings moved from...

    Version 6.0.1

So @MikeLud1 Can we just copy these models in the BI model's directory and select them? Or are those just for yolo5?
  18. Tinman

    Version 6.0.1

Ken said the issue with icon being a check mark will be fixed on 6.0.1.4. It only shows up if you were using CPAI on 6.0.1.3 and Not BI's AI. So going to check all my settings now as going from CPAI to BI AI is not just one setting involved. So currently I have 12 cams using AI along with these...

    Version 6.0.1

Well, it appears my issue was related to CPAI service running while I was trying to use BI's AI. I assumed they could run the same time, but evidently not. Now I am getting good detection and good timings, just uses a ton of memory. I am running the small model now.

    Version 6.0.1

Sure seems to like the memory

    Version 6.0.1

Ok, I went in and manually stopped the CPAI service and then went for the BI yolo8. I am usinf the m size model and it is working but seems to not be as acurate. Seems to be working now that I killed the CPAI service.

    Version 6.0.1

Mine is not putting the correct icon on the clip list for "person" I am running 6.0.1.3 but still using CPAI. You can see here what's going on. Still get terrible timings using yolo8 and my Nvidia RTX A2000, why I still use CPAI...for now anyway :)

    Version 6.0.1

So does the new 6.0.1.1 change anything for the good? I can't test it too much now that its night, will try it tomorrow.

BI6 new built in AI beta 6.0.1.0

Thought I would try it quick on my main BI, after many attempts and restarts, I never could get it to work with my GPU Nvidia RTX A2000, it just would always return nothing found. I then just tried "NO GPU" and I did manage to get it to detect, but terrible time. NO GPU: Back to 6.0.0.1 and...

BI6 new built in AI beta 6.0.1.0

Thought I would start a new thread so not to plug up the bot thread. I am getting these results running these settings on my demo.

    Version 6.0.1

That was exactly what my issue was, my Mediacom DNS server could not find it yet. Popped in 1.1.1.1 and away it went. Thanks for the tip! Now as far as the new AI, it brought my 12th gen to its knees on my demo machine first time around....still playing with it.

    Version 6.0.1

It does allow you to keep using your existing CPAI running (see arrow) BUT the link does not work for me, tried it on 3 other computers and no luck. Awesome...got it, Thanks !
