My hope is that some of you will help guide me in the process of setting this up correctly because even after all the readings I just don't get "it." So I have an Asus router and I have managed to setup...

If you can pull cable do it. If you can't, hire someone who can. Sooner or later you will run into problems with Powerline.

Is Auto Maintain (Auto Reboot) found under Settings a reboot of the NVR or the Camera? Also why do you disable that feature?

Do you guys use the Auto Reboot feature? By default mine is set for every Tuesday. What kind of setting changes should I be doing? Resolution rates, etc.

Ok apparently I can only view recorded footage from the NVR itself. I was trying to view from a desktop via the web service page. That was confusing the hell out of me why I couldn't view recorded footage.

It seems to work however (And I feel stupid asking this) but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to playback recorded footage. I have tried everything that I can think of... it was already set to continuous record (by default) and I see a solid green line for the camera per the times...

Thanks Just skimming thru the manual I noticed something. On the the front of my NVR I see the Status light is blue. I looked in the manual and it says "The blue light is on when the device is malfunction." What does this mean exactly?
