BigRedFish: Concerning the "light sensor", how can I make sure the cameras are setup correctly so the light sensor is active? Thank you and wittaj for your responses and help, very much appreciated.

Camera IR Illuminator does not Separate Day and Night

The camera is a SD6AL433XA-HNR. Recently I have had trouble with both of them so I did a default reset via the camera GUI. I set the schedule for day and night in the GUI Profile Management under Settings/Camera/Conditions. All other Conditions change when Night or Day is selected but the IR...

5241 Averaging 70,000 kbps on Main Stream

CanCuba: Thank you and I'll keep you posted. Mike A.: I checked that and both (NVR & SmartPSS) are Kbps and none of the other cameras are doing this, only the one.

5241 Averaging 70,000 kbps on Main Stream

I am watching a side by side comparison of SmartPSS versus directly connect to the camera through the NVR, and SmartPSS is 70,000 Kbps and the camera direct through the NVR is only 6,500 Kbps. Why such a difference? CanCuba, none of my cameras have ROI enabled, thank you for the reply, it's...

5241 Averaging 70,000 kbps on Main Stream

No sir, it's in the woods looking at an approach of a trail. The ones in the field with leaves and blowing grass only run 9,000 kbps. Thank you wittaj for your response.

5241 Averaging 70,000 kbps on Main Stream

I run eight (8) 5241s and I have one that is running between 60,000 to 80,000 kbps and it is set up exactly like the others that average 9,000 kbps on Main Stream, any ideas as to why? Thank you for your help.

Thank you guys for all the help to PRSmith777 on his camera setup since I have the same one and haven't had time to dial it in. Using your suggestions I will begin tonight taking it off of auto and making the same adjustments to mine.

What are the latest Dahua PTZ models to look into?

wittaj: I would have to go out and move vehicles around so they remain off the camera and I'm somewhat busy this evening, hopefully tomorrow.

What are the latest Dahua PTZ models to look into?

Yes it was night, heavy clouds and no moonlight. Not sure color would work without man made light, only running IR lights, although it has white light capabilities onboard as seen below.

What are the latest Dahua PTZ models to look into?

I had family visit on Thanksgiving that I recruited to help me dial the camera in a bit, the below video is there first pass starting at 300+ feet away from the camera. The only man made light is from her flashlight and the spotter cam behind her. I did some camera settings adjustments and...

What are the latest Dahua PTZ models to look into?

I'm a big fan of this PTZ as one of the best night performers out there. All of my PTZ's operate in zero man made light environment on a very large plot of ground to cover. I wish I had one with a 4/3 sensor but that's not available presently, although one of the drones we operate here has a...

    SD6AL433XA autotracking issues

Something to consider when using spotter cams, my 433's will be tracking a person perfectly and then will quit tracking them and go to a Preset when the person trips/crosses a spotter cam IVS rule.

    Ever been to Singapore?

Gordo: YES! Having spent time there on business, the greatest reason for people not committing crime is punishment, nothing more, nothing less. Take punishment out of the equation and you have the soaring crime rate in the USA.

    Face Detection Snapshot with SD8C845FG-HNF

Andy hooked me up with a great PTZ a couple of weeks ago and with the new interface with the camera the options are pretty cool. The one issue I'm having is how to find and review the Face Detections. Interesting things is it sends them to my DMSS phone app and I can see them on there but when...

    SD6AL433XA autotracking issues

Scale: I use both trip lines and intrusion boxes and it works well, if it misses the intrusion then it picks up the tripwire. As far as setup of the 433 once you have saved your presets, start with Smart Plan as seen below: Then go and setup your IVS as seen below: And your off to the races.

    SD6AL433XA autotracking issues

Scale: I have 2 of the 433XA PTZs that are triggered by several 5241s, 5842E-Z4E-S2 and SD8C845FG-HNF. The 433s will auto-track well when setup as described above but they will stop auto-tracking the subject, zoom back out to the preset it was called to when the subject crosses one of the...

What causes these artifacts when camera seeing moving person?

TechBill: I have several 4k cameras at the garage connected to a 6 port 10/100/1000 unmanaged switch that connects to a Fiber to RJ45 convertor. Fiber optic from there to the house and then to a fiber/RJ45 convertor, the convertor is plugged into the household router that also connects to the...

What causes these artifacts when camera seeing moving person?

RedFive: You think I can just get a gigabit switch and plug the NVR, RJ45 convertor, and the household router into it and it will work. What causes these artifacts when camera seeing moving person?

I also have the "stutter" issue as well but I use a Dahua NVR instead of BI and a computer. The issue is from the 4k cameras going through the fiber optic back to the house from a garage 200 yards away. The 1 gig fiber optic convertor goes into the router that feeds the NVR. I suspect the...

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

Interesting coincidence….baby formula shortage forces mothers with the “vaccine” to breastfeed their babies. What do you want to bet this was a coordinated plan to remove the baby formula from the shelves to spread the mRNA into babies? There are 3-things I do not believe in, and one of them...
