    Upgrading Firmware? Q3617-VE

I'm new to axis (bought a Q6135-LE ptz a week ago for cheap so I don't know much atm). A cursory glance in the cameras page shows the Q3617-VE is on AXIS OS LTS 2020-9.80 Version 9.80.85. AXIS OS Release Notes

    LPR setup help

Curious to see how well the polarizing filter works since I have 2 older versions of the 431 without them. The 431 is really heavy and long and I installed plywood and blocking between under the soffit covering for my PTZs (I dont have vented soffits)

Confused as heck about Hikvision event detection

I'm not too versed in Hikvision stuff right now but I would try changing the sensitivity. If you hit the Help button in the top right it should show what each thing does in in the settings

Seagate Exos X16 HD for NVR?

I don't see why not. I have various Seagate Exos X14 and X16 14TB drives in my Dahua NVR and DS-9632-I8. Most drives I'm using are Seagate Exos Used/Recertified since I'm frugal

    I like this PTZ.. HikVision - DS-2DF8C260I5XG-ELW 1/1.2" progressive scan CMOS @ 2mp.

Listed as "[Bullet channel]: Horizontal field of view: 88.7°, Vertical field of view: 44.7°;" The higher end models have some slight adjustability to the panorama bullet. I do not know the angle of tilt this has. Keep in mind the bullets are color only. Dahua's models seem to have electronic or...

    I like this PTZ.. HikVision - DS-2DF8C260I5XG-ELW 1/1.2" progressive scan CMOS @ 2mp.

Its lot faster than my other ones and maybe faster than my sd5a825. For only 375 its really impressive with all the features, specs and, auto tracking.

    I like this PTZ.. HikVision - DS-2DF8C260I5XG-ELW 1/1.2" progressive scan CMOS @ 2mp.

I took it down for now as I read up how to use this thing. I dont believe I had EIS on at the time as I was testing it. It was mounted with a JBPW-L mount onto a 2x8 that was lagged into my 4x4. I was randomly panning around seeing how it behaved and sorry for the endless panning I set it on...

    I like this PTZ.. HikVision - DS-2DF8C260I5XG-ELW 1/1.2" progressive scan CMOS @ 2mp.

Having no experience with Hik PTZ's I recently bought a TandemVú  DS-2SE7C432MW-AEB 14F1 from B&H for a very good price and yeah this shit wobbles when the panning stops but not as extreme as yours was. From my Dahua side none of them do this from all the sd5 to sd59 and sd4 I have.
