    Now on a serious note this explains why so many listings I had in my watched list were suddenly gone a week ago. Had a bunch of Hikvision and Dahua and manually going to them said they violated rules and were delisted.

    What do you mean? Sure its needs to be updated but I havent gotten around to it with the other 1000 projects the house needs. Its just an overview camera but the sunflowers are blowing up the the foreground from the IR light. It does the job as I only care about my property.

    Only has smart motion detection (no intrusion/tripwire). Turret movement can't be locked its held by friction. I do like how small it is.

    Will Hikvision ANPR Canada region recognize US plates?

    I have a handful of Hikvision OEM ANPR cameras roughly equal to the "DS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZHS" or so. Region option only has Canada so will it recognize US? I dont want to put work into it printing a junction box for it and setting up and end up it not working well. Thanks in advance

    Your minimum size seems to quite large being set at 4715*4741. Set it to 0 * 0 at first to see if it'll detect the object.

    I just bought the 25X version, SDT6C425-4P-GB-APV-0280 and it does NOT take POE only 36V DC as far as I tested it.

    I've good luck with the USA site a few times. Last one is a used NVR I bought and they sent me to files to reset the password from Submit a ticket . YMMV if it works but in my experience I've had good experiences with Hikvision i.e. they sold me a few replacement lenses for cameras I have.

    Don't know on how noticeable these would be but cheapest and easiest setup would be a an action camera ie GoPro, Dji Osmo Action, or others, on a chest mount of some sorts

    Yup. I notice them everywhere and If I have time I'll get a closer look to see if I can see what brand it is. Its definitely a disease as I piled up a bunch of LPR cameras over the winter and now don't know which ones to run or how many of them.

    I did. But it seems the E2 series its quite old and still on the older v3 firmware. You might have to get a newer one to support newer cameras

    If you really want to update the firmware just do what I posted. But like what the others said if you dont have to its probably better not to if youre not having problems. I've only updated my Hik NVR because the firmware it had on it was too old to process the newer 180degree dual sensor cameras

    HIKVISION Support...

    I'd try installing HiToolsDelivery, adding the NVR to the device list and see if the "Upgrade" set to "Online Mode" be able to full a firmware for your NVR. I'm not sure the firmware on the product page will work since I usually update my cameras through Hitools so far
