    Modem tuning help

I remember having 2400 baud modems back in the day and being jealous of everyone with 9600 baud modems when playing text-based games...then five or six years later, paying $200 for a 28.8K modem on an ISA card. I probably still have an external 56K modem buried in an old laptop bag somewhere.

    weird plate reflection

I noticed that for the first time on one of my cameras last night as well, I chalked it up to the reflection of plates being so bright that it is actually reflecting inside the lens of the camera when the plate is off center. It's fun when you can reproduce it on a PTZ.

The cover for the SD card is on the back of the camera on the 49225/49425. Turn the camera towards the wall to the left and tilt it all the way up to make it easy to access. Power the camera off and use the wrench that came with it a philips screwdriver to take the cover off. You can buy pole...

    LPR Camera location conundrum

Your best angle is going to be in front of the garage and shooting 90 degrees to the left without getting the wall in the frame, not where you have the picture drawn straight down the driveway. Your second best angle (which is still pretty steep) will be the 2nd floor to the shot over the driveway.

Flock. flocksafety.com That $2000/year cost includes cellular, which runs $40/month. If you add up the costs of cellular, cloud hosting, installation and maintenance labor, technicians, IT people to support the system, etc. it's cheap compared to the other options out there. That's how these...

Yes, I have run SFP/LC over multimode fiber from my house to a TPLink 1000Base-SX SC to 1000Base-T media converter in my detached garage without any issues. If I had to do it all over again I would do LC and SFP on both ends.

    Best cams with auto tracking?

Try adding a one-way tripwire that only tracks if they exit their driveway. I noticed my 49225 stopped tracking pedestrians exiting an intrusion zone when I had it set up to track when they entered. Not sure if it was a fluke or not as I haven't put a SD card in my camera quite yet, but it's...
