I use this exact gland:

Then I drill a 5/8" hole through one of the plastic caps that comes with the junction box (or if using a plastic JB you just drill into the box itself) and screw in the gland...
I just did a quick google and it looks like there are a few solutions to automatically start OBS and begin broadcast on startup, but I'm not too sure or familiar with that.
I have a few HA automations w/ my cameras - if my doorbell detects a human after midnight but before sunrise it turns on all floodlights around my entire house & if my doorbell is rung (in the same timeframe) the same thing happens just in case the cam doesn't identify a human before they ring...
ZeroTier has been super reliable for a second system that I run. Incredibly easy to setup, add/remove users, etc. It requires very little tech know-how when compared to other alternatives such as VPNs etc.
Hi there -
I like your 2 corner idea, the main issue is that it only covers 1 of foot traffic for each side of the car. So if the person is walking the opposite direction you will not get an identifying face shot. I think if you're trying to identify somebody you would need no less than 4...
If the security of the footage is most valuable to you then you should not use SD cards in your cameras where they can be 'easily' taken or you need to deploy security measures to protect your cameras & SD cards. But again, if the footage was that sensitive (and if I knew that the footage itself...
Very nice! Glad it worked out pretty easily - when I started I also put 1 camera on BI and tried to figure it out and slowly added my cams. I think that is the way to go, many people try to start with 8-10 cameras and get overwhelmed because they don't know how the software works
I found a curl command that you can issue from HA but it was from a 4 year old reddit thread - not sure if it still works:
Yup, you can. Here's an example shell command:
bi_away: curl http://192.168.53.55:81/admin?profile=4
Add your Home Assistant IP address as a trusted device in BlueIris
I don't think DeepStack has become 'unsupported' by BI, they have shifted toward integrating CodeProject.AI but plenty of people still use DeepStack on the latest stable version of BI
You sound very entitled demanding instant support for your $29-$99 annual fee which renews your license thus...
Got it - yes same for me, but my Idle Motion feature doesn't behave as expected, same with the Time Task feature.
I am not a huge fan of the 'wait x seconds' then force return to home preset currently since if BI sends a 'Preset 1' command, the camera will not recognize a 'Preset 2' command if...
I stumbled across the OSD menu through Dahua's website:
https://dahuawiki.com/How_To_Setup_PTZ_Idle_Motion
Essentially in the 'live view' you hit 'Menu' on the right side - i was shocked to see that my menu did not match the website GUI
Nope it is a refurb SD49425XB-HNR (IP) that I bought from Andy - wondering if something is up with the firmware? Does anybody else have this cam with this firmware?
Device Type: SD49425XB-HNR
System Version: V2.800.1341000.0.R.P9.2522.UN.NR
Build Date: 2020-03-12
PTZ Version...
Ahh - for some reason the Time Task doesn't work either - interestingly when I go into the camera's menu through the live stream menu Idle & Time Task don't exist - must be a firmware issue where the GUI is giving the option but the feature actually doesn't exist in the firmware?
