Yes, this would be good. I like the view in Frigate where you have a separate timeline for triggert alarms and motion.
I am new to this topic and I am playing around with the cameras, Frigate and Blue Iris. The motion view helps me to better see what the alram triggers have missed and gives me...
With substream 1 @ 640x480 I got the bluring issue as described above. With substream 2 @1280x720 the issue is gone.
I had to change the substream as substream 1 does not provide this resolution. Yes, only one substream is active. All other are deactivated.
I would say it depends on the speed of your NAS serving the SMB shares and the speed of your network connection.
With two cameras I have no issue writing directly to a SMB share served by TrueNAS. But this I am doing only because my BI is virtualized and there is no local disk. In a dedicated...
Hello,
what resolution for the sub-stream of the cameras you are using?
I got "blurring issues" via remote desktop when I used a too small resolution.
Why I am asking? I am new to surveillance and first started testing Frigate. All was fine. As next I started testing Blue Iris to come to a...
Maybe this is the reason for my issue.
My TPU always is getting detected but it is falling back to CPU after a couple of seconds.
And my second issue is that YOLOv5 6.2 doe not detect the GPU but YOLOv8 does.
I am using an Nvidia T400 under Windows.
Unfortunately I my case it does.
I am running several Windows and Linux VM under Proxmox 8.3.1, all set to host to get the best performance. All is running fine.
Unfortunately when I spinned up a new Windows VM with the setting "host" for testing of Blue Iris it crashed with a blue screen each...
Interesting news. For testing purpose I was running CodeProjects AI separatly under Proxmox in a Linux LXC with Docker in it.
My plan for the target platform was running both Blue Iris and CodeProjects AI on the same windows machine to make use of the GPU by both programs.
Do you use a separate...
Thank you. In case of Blue Iris was the cause, it now will be solved.
Im am not sure if maybe any other program or app was causing it. Therefore I was asking for a way to restrict on camera level.
Maybe I do not get you right. But why not just set-up the network path to the NAS in Blue Iris as it is without mapping a drive?
Today it is V: and tomorrow it is the path on your NAS. Maybe temporarily any other network path while you data moving action is ongoing.
Hello,
I am still playing around with my two EmpireTech IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 (Dahua IPC-HDW5442T-ZE), Frigate, Blue Iris, some apps and a SMB share to find the best set-up for me. A couple times I have noticed that the zoom of the camera was changed. I have not touched any PTZ control by intention...
Are you referring to this setting?
I have SMD switched of and set-up IVS on the camera.
Currently I am focusing on Frigate for detection and recording, use the camera detection for comparison only and play around with Blue Iris. Not yet decided in what direction I will finally go.
I do not know what a animal filter should be. I am no other settings than "standard" and the once mentioned above.
I can see the difference. To me it looks like contrast is my issue.
I added to the original post.
Thank you.
This I will test.
Thank you.
I anyhow was planning to zoom in a little bit more and tilt it a little bit more down to get the IR of the second cam on top right out of the sight.
(I am waiting for a little bit more warm weather to do this.)
Hello,
I am just playing around with my IPC-HDW5442T-ZE in combination with Frigate and the demo version of Blue Iris to explore the possibilities and to find the best set-up for me.
So far, I get good detection results during day time. Both Frigate and IVS of the camera even detects birds...
Hello
thank you for help.
At least everything is running and so I did not searched for the reason.
The Nvidia status shows that the GPU is doing something. Two ffmpeg processes running and I have two cameras.
If I find time and do not know what to do, I will pullout the GPU and check what will...
I am still trying about to understand Frigate and test if it is the system I want to use.
What I do not understand why my GPU load is so low. OK, there is not so much to do. The high resolution stream only is getting recorded and the low resolution stream already is coming by fps 5.
But to me...
It gives me a better picture for detection to what I have learned here.
But your 180° pictures looks good if you want to capture everything at once for overview.
Thank you. Impact of sensor size I know.
And tighter view of the 6 mm fixed focal lens is what I would have expected.
Basically this is what I did first and then used the software m. a. to come to the same results.
And when playing around with the zoom of varifocal camera I was confused.
Update
Finally I decided to go with two zoom cameras as I was not sure if my idea of 3.6 mm / 89° is the best one. Currently I set the Dahua IPC-HDW5442T-ZE / EmpireTech IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 to zoom set point of 807. Acc. the focal lens calculator this should be equivalent to 6.0 mm. Luckily I did...
Thank you.
OK, once I will get my IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3, I will check out if I can live with this.
I will go further step-by step in this order
Camera + NAS only in combination with software DMSS and Smart PSS Lite
Frigate NVR
Dahua NVR
Sorry for not being clear in my post. I provided too much side information and my question was hard to find.
I am asking if I can get access to the data stored on NFS or Samba Share from the camera’s web interface in the same way I can access the recorded data on the SD card.
I am here to...
Hello,
How can read the recorded data on Samba or NFS share?
I am planning to uses two IPC-HDW5442T-ZE, or to be more precise two IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3. The use of an NVR I have not yet planned for a set-up of two cameras only. I first will check how far I can go with Frigate and the camera build in...
Hello,
from hardware side EmpireTek and Dahua are the same to what I have learned.
But what about the software? Do EmpireTek IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 and Dahua IPC-HDW5442T-ZE have the same functionality?
If possible, would there be any advantage or disadvantage to run an EmpireTek cam with the Dahua...
Hello,
is there any system in Dahuas's naming convention for cameras?
I try to understand the difference between different Dahua cameras to be able to select the best for my needs and budget. I am lost!
I am not focused on this specific type, but when I search for IPC-HFW5442 I get listed 19...
I just checked out some NVR. I m not yet sure if for example a Dahua NVR4108HS-P-EI or NVR4104-P-EI would be the right choice for me. But they are not so expensive and do not draw so much power.
There might be no benefit to go with Frigate.
