    Did it ask for the plugin? On the old NVR, you can access the UI just find without the plugin, but certain features don't work such as fast forward on playback, the ability to do playback on more than 4 cams at a time, etc.

    You gonna get the latest NVR model to test? If yes, can you test out different browsers to see if the UI is more modern? I'd love to see us get away from plugins and take a more HTML5 approach.

    That's the thing. I didn't update the firmware on my NVR or cameras. It just started happening. In the hope of fixing it with a firmware update, I then updated everything to no avail obviously.

    I switched to Brave. I learned from another poster that you just have to close the plugin message even though it's installed. Still not perfect because certain functions don't work 100%. IE in Edge still doesn't work for me.

    I'm having issues with IE in Edge. When I'm at the login screen, it won't let me type in a password. I can't copy and paste it into the password field either. Like the OP, Edge worked fantastic for a long time and now the webplugin doesn't work with it. Has anyone gotten Brave to work with...

    I LOVE it! I saw you have Firewalla too. I had an Omada ER707-M2 before but switched to a Gold Plus a few months ago...what a difference! The ability to build VLANs and rules...WAY easier and more effective. Even the ability to show you that image is way better/easier than anything Omada has.

    I have the latest 5xxAI NVR with seven 5442 S3 cameras with P2P enabled and use DMSS. Over the last 24 hours, I see no upload or download amounts in excess of 1MB to or from any destination cumulatively.

    I went with the 5-series NVR and I’m happy with it. Now that the Dahua cameras have animal detection, there’s no reason for me to go with something like BI.

    That's a good comparison. Indeed, even in IR mode, the 5442 is crisper.

    I installed seven 5442 S3s over a year ago around the perimeter around my house, and now I'm wondering if I should've gone with the 5482s. My cameras are primarily "overview" cameras to detect humans or animals. I feel like the extra MPs would allow me to better make out faces, vehicles, etc...
