    Hi Andy,

    I'm looking for security cameras to cover my garden and the outside of my house. I have plenty of trees which move a lot with wind and cut quite some visibility in long distances. Was thinking of PTZ cameras since I guess they will work best only alerting when people come in and not when trees/animals move.

    Any recommendation of type of camera or even model? Can share a pic of the parcel if needed (55 x 25m).

    Use a latest SMD PTZ is fine, check SD49425XB-HNR.
    If has poor light in the night, use SD49225XA-HNR

    both of them will only alert with human/vehicle and not with trees/animals?

    if that's the case, how can I buy them? I think I could need around 8 of them, although rather buy one unit first to test it out

    Need to upgrade my four cameras and thinking of the IPC-T5442T-ZE Varifocal, Want good person and vehicle detection but not sure what the best lens for my short driveway is - think this is the best way to figure it out in all 4 locations. I’m from western Canada and amazon price here seems real high any suggestions on best place to buy from? From you?

    Forgot to mention I’m running Blue Iris 4 on a ESXi Win10 VM (25% cpu) which has worked perfect for over 2 years. Thoughts on upgrading to v5 for improved H.265 when using this camera.

    Need it for the side of the house, which is very narrow, long and dark.

    I'm running SecuritySpy software on my Mac so not BI.

    I am setting up a new system with Blue Iris at my home and need some recommendations for about 6-8 cameras:
    • One camera over the garage that covers my small driveway - Plenty of street lighting plus exterior garage lighting. I just want to make sure it's in color since it will be pointed on our cars. (Colorvu or similar)
    • Two cameras that will cover the 2 sides of my home - there is no exterior lighting on the sides, but some from the front street lights (open to suggestions)
    • One camera that will cover my backyard (Colorvu or similar)
    • Two cameras that will cover my front entrance - one leading to my front door and one over the front door itself (open to suggestions)
    • Possibly an additional 2 cameras to capture sidewalk pedestrians before they walk in front of my home (open to suggestions)
    Any help would be appreciated. I can buy from your Amazon store after receiving your recommendations.

    I currently have one "2wire normal video doorbell" which I placed years ago, it's works nice but I would like to replace it with one that I can control from my phone too! Do you have any recommendations?
    • I have POE+ available for the front doorbell camera
    • I could have POE+ available too for the inside monitor if needed

    Extra question: will I need to reuse any of the existing 2wire doorbell cables?

    I also need a few security cameras, but let's tackle that when I manage to get the video doorbell sorted out :)

    I am looking to upgrade one of my two old Lorex systems to a Blue Iris system and have been looking at cameras.

    3 to 5 of the IPC-T5442TM-AS or IPC-T5442T-ZE just not sure what the differences is.

    7 to 8 of the IPC-T2413T-AS

    And possibly one of this one. SD49425XB-HNR

    Andy I need a couple of cameras to protect my house while I'm driving to Cali. Must have Starlight Technology or equivalent, be bullet cameras, POE capable, and as cheap as possible. Don't know if you can find something. If the price is right I'll buy one or two more. George

    Are your Loryta cameras upgradable directly from Dahua? Specifically the DAHUA DH-IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E. Are there any differences (other than the logo) between the Dahau version and the Loryta OEM version? Thanks!

    I plan to use this as an LPR. Slow moving vehicles in a parking lot or stopped at a gate only. Mounted roughy 15'-20' off the ground about 150'-175' feet from the car. Is this the right choice for that application? Also, I noticed it was cheaper to buy from you on your aliexpress store vs your Amazon store. Am I looking at that correctly? Thanks!

    Yes 150-175ft can work if place not very dark at night. If too dark, will need an external IR light.

    Hi,
    I have a IPC-HDW5541H-AS-PV and have an issue.

    Everything appears to be working as expected, however, when any IVS rule is triggered, I get no Audio and light alerts.

    During playback I can see the rule is triggered, I can reply, I even get mobile notifications - just no audio alert or lights!.

    If I play the audio files manually, they are fine and can be heard.

    Anyone any idea? I have reset and reloaded firmware.

    I've managed to fix it, but it has required a factory reset and a manual reconfiguration. If I import the backup config I get that strange issue.

    These days we get some complaint about the IPC-T5442TM-AS(Same series, 4Mp AI models) IVS failed and Triangle warning. This happens after some cams updating. Here is the instruction for fixing up, please follow it and send email to me. Thanks to @bigredfish testing out and all guys' waiting...

    I have 2 of those cameras I love them auto tracking is excellent I bought mine at B&P photo Google it.

    The auto track is a cool feature. Do you have an idea how far does the camera stay on subject (assuming subject is travelling within line of sight without obstruction).
    For example, If it pick a car moving on a straight road, will it keep zooming in to keep the car identifiable?

    my placement is front of house and I have line crossing to trigger camera when someone comes on to my property and it will keep tracking them and zoom in where I can identify person and a car that drives into my driveway about 20 foot long will track and zoom in very very close where I can see the person driving the car. Excellent camera about 95 percent accurate with tracking and zooming.

    hi eCandy.. i have a new project to replace existing coax cameras inside an arcade (dim lighting) . they currently have 16 cameras. many moons ago i was advised to go with the Dahua re-branded StarLight 2MP Varifocal cameras for low light . however, i see there is now an 8mp variant . (

    8MP Starlight Lite Varifocal IP Camera) with are 4k i believe? i would appreciate your opinion on which cameras to go with and i'm open to any other suggestions. they would need to integrate with blue iris, and poe powered. again, low light, high resolution (enough to distinguish facial features) is priority. please pm' if you can help me order something :D tia

    If I understand correctly, the ones you sell on your Amazon and Aliexpress stores are the same Dahua cameras but rebranded, correct?

    Hello Andy. Picked up a IPC-T2831TM-AS from you and I notice it does not give the option for WDR in the settings. Perhaps I need a firmware update? I did a couple searches and did not see IPC-T2831TM-AS and firmware results. Can you provide a link or suggestions please?

    Hello Andy,
    I recently discovered my remote camera view for my Qsee NVR is no longer working. I have a QCK 81 NVR. I spoke with someone who said you could help with options, Firmware?, different App?, Dahua NVR?? that allows remote viewing. I am not sure how to fix. Please contact me at [email protected].
