EmpireTech PTZ3E10X-T180 just won't record/link the cameras

I have this camera successfully recording anything in the broad IVS intrusion rule that is my driveway and front yard. Panoramic recording works which also verifies my rule set methodology (target size, type=intrusion, event of record+snapshot, channel=1). I have 3 presets for the detail/PTZ cam in three different locations you need to PTZ around to see. PTZ works fine. The issue is when someone walks in a zone that isn't the default idle zone. The camera only pans if the event occurs beginning in the default area/preset the detail/PTZ cam is pointed at at rest. Furthermore, despite it tracking only from the idle preset area, it won't record even when it does track! the panoramic IVS rules record fine however. So, what is the solution here? I will reach out to EmpireTech soon for clarification since these are pretty pricey. This is a major feature - if the detail cam doesn't record whatsover, it's worthless. The only other setting I can find is Settings -> Events -> Video Detection -> enabled + event linkage of ptz linkage. I just think this is a legacy way of detecting and I don't want to try it, plus panoramic works fine. AI -> panoramic linkage is enabled and auto tracking is on with a custom duration of 15-30s. I'm so close.

This feels like a firmware issue, but I've heard these cameras love to brick. Plus, no idea where to even find fw for it. Cheers; hope someone has some guidance, ty

Also, nowhere in this camera or the other bullet cams is there IR settings... I hope they turn on automatically tonight
What bullet camera?

Did you look under "Settings" => "Conditions" ? Hint: "day & night"

Yep, found it under Illumination in that same pane and that fixed it.

The PTZ issue is not entirely fixed, but I got it working in other zones at least. By moving the main Panoramic IVS intrusion zone away from a parked car that may have been triggering the IVS rule, and by making the Panoramic IVS zone smaller overall, the tracking between Panoramic and PTZ started working. The issue now is that it doesn't always work, but you do see it acknowledge the person by means of an aqua box shown around them. It always shows the aqua box around ppl and acknowledges they exist distinctly, but it won't always turn red and track them with PTZ -- not sure why. It does work now sometimes at least. Something tells me maybe too many things are enabled overburdening the camera which might be why making the zone smaller helped. That would be a problem though. Is having too many presets and stuff a possibility?

Now I'm having a different issue, but not with this model of camera. My IPC-B54PRO-Z4E have both warm light and IR, so I turned on Smart Illumination, but the warm lights are always on past dark. It never turns them off, so not sure what to do there besides force IR. I'm hoping it turns them off late in the night if the code is programmed that way... Forcing IR might be the way to go, but the quality takes a hit of course.

User knowledge on both.

You need to learn how IVS rules work on your PTZ presets. Your IVS rules dont sound like they're well drawn. It takes some time to learn how they work. Try adding a tripwire and keep your lines where they cross humans directly about waist to chest high and not hovering over top of them

On the 54PRO- you have Smart Illumination on, what about "Mode" should be Auto
Then on your IVS rule, you need "Warning Light" enabled under Event Linkage. On that same box, you want "Always On" and set a time limit

On the Day/Night tab choose Auto

I just spent the last day playing with the PTZ cam after reading this. I can get all 5 cameras to trigger and record fine except for the PTZ. The methodology is the same for my intrusion or trip wire zones, although I've tried literally everything after reading this except the legacy motion detection feature or any legacy detection feature. I'm only using IVS.

The bottom line is no matter what I do, the live view should include the IVS rules overlayed over the picture which shows when they trigger or it detects something. It does NOT show up on the live view for the PTZ/detail cam, but it shows for the panoramic cam. It is abundantly apparently the firmware is not enabling IVS for the PTZ cam. I have tried so many settings I'm not sure what is left to try. These same rules work for all of my other cams - I'm not doing anything differently, although I sure did try after this post. The only possibility I can think of is a setting somewhere I don't know about, a glitch, or a bug.

Does anyone own this PTZ3E10X-T180 PTZ camera who would be a good point of reference? My last options are factory reset in case something glitched just as a last ditch effort, or return it. I hope EmpireTech answers me, but when I inquired about camera availability months ago, I got no response, so don't have high hopes for support either...

Oh, I should mention I got the PTZ linkage to work which allows the PTZ to track movement detected in the panoramic lens. It isn't perfect, but I'll take it. I just expected it to always track isn't the case mostly in the dark.
