New 7 Camera Install

I have 2 questions for the crew here.

1) My system still has 3 2331's (2018) and a 5231 that are serving their purpose (back and side yard dog monitors), but definitely dated. Knowing the 5442's are EOL (and pricey now), would this group suggest I replace now? I have the cash. Or should I wait for the 54PRO, or other, to possibly fill the gaps in the future?

2) I'm building a new 7 camera, Blue Iris, Unifi, system for a neighbor. Again, should I grab 5442's for their system, or what are the camera options the great minds here suggest?

flynreelow, at my place I've run all network cables myself. Not fun or glamorous, and not too difficult if you like to hang out in a crawl space or attic for hours. For the neighbor's install, they're doing a full home remodel and the walls an attic are currently open and accessible. They are running the cables themselves throughout the home and to camera locations.
