Finding a used 4 or 8 channel NVR on the cheap

Don't need any. Need to monitor property around the shed as there is 2 blind spots that can't be seen from the house. Guns come into play when something happens
Not a big fan of Lorex. I dumped my Lorex for Dahua last year. Unfortunately, seems used Dahua NVRs are non existent on sites that I've checked

Too complicated for 1 or 2 cameras on a garden shed. And I wouldn't want to have a delicate computer in that environment
Ok, how about a Dahua DHI-NVR4108HS-8P-4KS3? I presume it would have similar bandwidth per channel as the NVR-5216-16P?
Less than 1/2 the bandwidth. About 160Mbps vs 384 for the 5200 series
Still you should be fine.

Well, I've been futzing with trying to order on Alibaba. When I inquire about the NVR, it says that Dahua is a sensitive word and cannot be used. If I remove the word Dahua, every request comes back with suggestions that comes nowhere close to what I was originally trying to order. I think Alibaba isn't going to work for what I'm looking for

Not sure about Alibaba, but I normally use AliExpress. I'm in the UK, but they should ship to the US. If the word Dahua is blocked just use the model number NVR4104HS-4KS3 it seems to work from here.

Ok, AliExpress is no deal. Their prices on Dahua NVRs with POE are almost retail, with some well over retail price. I can get an NVR4108HS-8P-4KS3 for $200 plus shipping from my source, AliExpress is in the $280 to $350 range
