I'm looking for a replacement for Dahua DVR. Something with a good remote view program that has multiple playback speeds for multiple cameras. Hybrid ability for cvi, tvi, analog cams.

I have only used Hikvision, Dahua, but since being banned are hard to get. I also have a "non technically oriented" client that needs robust playback features.

A Dahua XVR
Recommend the top of the line 7000 series

Robust playback features are found with software like SmartPSS Lite for desktop and DMSS for remote/mobile. Most all NVR playback interfaces are clunky.

Thanks. I have always liked Dahua. I also like Alibi and Hikvision. All support hi res cams etc. My problem is a client I have that has 5 hotels. He wants to speed through a whole shift at x16, or x32 speed remotely. I realize internet speed and throughput on site affect playback. Hi resolution cams are slow too because of the larger volume of video being transferred.

Thanks for the input. Maybe I'll try to convince him again.

I think SmartPSS only goes to 8X

If he's looking at/for humans, with the proper IVS/AI setup on newer NVR's there should be no need to manually review hours of video.

Ok, well...
They can be purchased from Andy with Empiretech

But if he's reviewing video at 16-32X speed, he's 10+ years behind. Stone age actually.

You/he should look into modern technology, that has been integral to Dahua/Hik NVR's for 10+ years using AI/IVS to identify humans/vehicles so that one no longer needs to scrub video at high speed.

I'm with you. To be honest I really like Alibi, ( it's basically Hikvision rebrand) 8mp, 4k vid compat, on site display is awesome but remote playback is slow. Like I said, this guy doesn’t know anything about tech. He is perfectly happy watching fuzzy low res images as long as they playback fast. I don't think anyone even makes/ sells crap like that anymore. Maybe I can convince him by showing him how to download motion events and playback that way.

I checked your link. Looking for DVR. Hotel has a mix of cams, some are original from 18yrs ago. The old "plastic" 720p", and some even lower, plus some brand new ones, so I need a 5 in 1, or a 4 in 1 that has analog compat.

Look closer

supports HDCVI/AHD/TVI/CVBS auto-detect

If it isnt in that list of analog types you're shit out of luck anywhere
