Configure cams to alert only after dark or when we are not home

My garden cams are currently set to trigger using ONVIF, they use AI to confirm the trigger for person, cat, dog and birds, don't ask, the wife likes to watch what the wildlife is doing.

During the day with the current config we get alerts when we are in the garden, what's the best way to still record but not alert during the day for example. I've been staring at the various cam config screens and can't get my head around what I actually need to do so any pointers to guide me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Could I for example just use mobile geo fencing but then what about in the evenings when we aren't in the garden? I also thought of using a dawn/dusk schedule to maybe do this?

Any hints and tips would be appreciated.

I created a profile that disables the alerts for certain cameras.

It requires me to switch to that profile, and I set the profile to return to normal ops after X minutes so in case I forget to set it back.

Is it perfect - no - it requires me to manually change the profile, but it only takes a few seconds. Something could probably be automated, but then there is always a situation it wouldn't work for.

Thinking about this this would be quite difficult to do as I'd still want an alert if for example a person was in the garden during the day when we are all home.

AI facial recognition anyone, that would do it, know a face record but cancel the Alert :)

I remember looking at this ages ago, this is probably why I did nothing about it :)

You might have misunderstood what I said.

I have my typical day and night profile and get my alerts.

I created a backyard profile. When I go to the backyard, I manually switch to the backyard profile. It disables all alerts for those cameras but I still get alerts for other cameras. And then when I go back inside, I switch the profile back to the day or night profile (depending on time of day LOL).

But I also have it set to revert to a normal profile after X minutes incase I forgot to manually switch it back.

So if you are typically back there for an hour, make it say 75 minutes.

And yeah the AI wouldn't help you because what about the back of your head LOL.
