Hi gents,
i know old device but works great, anyhow got some 4 new IP cameras with H.265+ on them, but my NVR is on v3.205 and can not see it, until i modify cameras and lower them to H.264
i just want to upgrade my device to v4xxxxxxxx since Dahua says it can, but to do it i need some bloody middleware version cause it wont accept any of v4 i downloaded and try over USB, WEB or Config tool
if someone can help to give me link or tell me where i can find this i would buy him 10000 beers, since i was not able to find nothing ,nowhere

From what I’ve seen with older Dahua NVRs, some S2 models require an intermediate firmware before jumping to V4, otherwise the update will be rejected. You might try checking the Dahua firmware archive or asking an official distributor, because many of those older firmware files are no longer publicly listed.
 
H.264.h is better quality anyway.

H.265 as implemented by Dahua is a waste of time. Hard drives are relatively cheap
