Going down a rabbit hole and figured someone can recommend one. Tried a reolink trackmix and its garbage. Its for a basement, so its indoors but I need optical zoom. Nothing crazy since the objects to be monitored are only 10 feet from where the camera will be.
Tried asking Andy and haven't heard back yet. Budget is 200-300 dollars. TIA

FlipNJ , how much zoom do you need and is IR required. I have some older Dahua cameras similar to those that Chase mentioned. Are you looking for wifi or Poe?

POE IR, yes. Don't need much zoom. Maybe 4x. I have 2 49225s outside but they're too big to hang from the ceiling.

I haven't used these so I can't speak for how good they are but I would look at these two.

PTZ4M-4X

PTZ1A4M-4X
Tried the PTZ1A4M, horrible with IR. Daytime is decent but forget Night. Also had a hell of a time connecting first time as manual states the ip is 192.168.1.108. Spent a half hour changing my system to .1 subnet just to find out the camera configured itself to my .4 subnet and was on DHCP, not static, so I had to find out its ip was. smh. Regardless, its going back. Wish I could find another 49225. Even at 10 feet away from the object, 4x wasn't enough.

I bought a 49225 with the autotracking firmware for 325,68 US-Dollar.
