I recieved my Z1S2 and I like it a lot. My question is how would the 425DB perform compared with the Z12E in the following situation.
Objective capture vehicle details enough to identify type and maybe see some information of the driver.
Distance 300' Daytime only.
35 degree shot of object.
With the larger image sensor and the 110mm lens shouldnt the 425DB perform better or is there something Im missing, maybe motion blur being that tight?

The 425DB has the same size sensor as the Z12E but they shoved double the MP on it, so at night it doesn't perform as well.
 
Not the same exact PTZ but 135mm max vs your 125max lens but not that far off.
Mine just Z19 so still room to go

  • 320-350ft to the white SUV in the street
  • maybe 450 to the guys face in the car backing out
  • 600 ft to the white car backing out

You should be fine with max zoom. Like @wittaj says not as good of an image due to undersized sensor, but in daylight with that angle or less you should be able to "identify type and maybe see some information of the driver" given sun angles and window tint differences
