I have been selling a few cameras that have either been replaced or don't do well for my application (lots of low light at night).

I listed a Empiretech 4KT, a Empiretech 4KX 6mm, a few DAHUA DH-IPC-HDW5231RN-Z 2mp cameras and a Lorex 4K 8mp camera which was replaced by another camera.

Anyway, out of the cameras listed, the 4KT sold within 24 hours ($115). But the Lorex I just listed today, sold in an hour! Admittedly, it was a low sale price ($50), but I had the Dahua 2mp cameras (which I think is a better performing camera) for the same price and it barely has 2 views. Seems people chase big numbers instead of performance.

The Lorex would have sat in a box here unused, so I figured why not see if I can get some money towards my new camera fund. I have 6 more to list once I get the time to replace them with the other cams I have.

Yep, many consumers chase MP and why companies can get away with higher MP and cheaper materials and poor performance.

That's fine by me. I already have the Lorex cameras, and they would only sit in a box unused once replaced. Why not list them and get some cash towards new cameras?

I think most people are conditioned to think this way due to home video, cameras and phones. Of course, it doesn't help that the typical knowledge of security camera brands and technology comes at us at every big box store.
