Big minus of the kit - very basic G5 cameras are included..
small sensor, only fixed lens, very very weak IR plus only basic AI (smart detections like SMD, no face/plate detections or AI recognition)..

plus this small NVR is limited to 6 (POE) or 8 (processing power) cams..

but price point is very interesting... especially for ubiquiti (which is not cheap)...

Is there a mixup here between the $699 kit price and the $199 UI Care price? Even the video says $699 at the 3:24 mark.

As a first time kit from Ubiquiti this will cover 75% of the basic users out there.
I think they will later come out with a pro kit with the latest G6 cams for double the price which will more than satisfy the remaining 25% of users (myself included).

Either way, it'll be the only kits I install/recommend from now for friends and family.
 
Anyone have any experience with the Instant and the G6 Bullet cameras? I am suggesting this to a friend and needed some real world feedback. The kits cameras are not all that impressive and was thinking of suggesting the G6 Bullets and a PTZ. The PTZ likely will need a power injector to support POE+. He is only looking for 4-6 cameras max.
 
I have 3x G6 instants and 3x G6 Turrets.
Fantastic camera's......so long as its not dark.
