IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV-PRO review

thank you for the information,
anyone ever compared a 3849 PRO (1/1.8'') vs 3849 S5?
today I have a 3849 s4 and perform decently but now I want to cover areas much darker and dont know what to buy

thank you

At 30ft you should get decent ID from a normal 2.8-12mm varifocal, but still if you really want face ID I'd step up to a 5442 Z4 S3 (8mm-32mm)

It will be IR. Nothing is really going to get you color at 30ft worth a shit with onboard lights

5442 Z4 S3 at 55ft

It’s winter … apple tree is fine but I could cut it no problem
This is a night pic
If I zoom in I loose the balcony visual

Correct, which is why we say you need two cameras.

NO CAMERA will give you IDENTIFY for the balcony and the edge of your property.

And with all the IR bounce blowout ruining the exposure, it would probably be difficult to even DETECT or OBSERVE at the edge of your property.

Right now it’s mounted on the ceiling since the balcony is below a portion of the roof.
Second camera here can update be a solution that implies I need two camera each side since I have 3 balconies plus entrance . May be I’ve to give up with the identification at major distance and reduce it at 5/6 meters!!
Let’s say that from the security point of view the important are the balcony areas.
In this case using a dahua IPC HDW3649 pro, 6 mpixel and cmos 1/1.8”, 3.6 mm., should improve the image quality (I’m considering the 6mp after reading your discussion above)
Am I wrong?
