Hi,

What do you guys think of these cameras? I attached the specs. Anything I should be considering before I spend my money? 8mp too much for good night quality? Does the colorvu come with pros/cons? Are the sensors a good size?

Thank you!

Hi @jelf4352

At this point, looking at the crazy PC prices .. I personally would jump on any decent deal for cameras with larger sensors

in general :
8MP 1/1.8" will not be as good in low light as a 4MP 1/1.8" sensor .. still there are times I want the extra pixels in good light.

Hikvision vs Dahua OEM ... if you are running a Blue Iris or similar setup you can use either

If using an NVR, try to get the same OEM

Me personally I have both Hikvision and Dahua and if I had to buy today something I would not hesitate on any deals you can afford, they will just get more pricey soon.
( especially if they have 1/1.8" or larger sensors )
