I really hope it does not snow as bad as the forecast predicts

I'm supposed to get 2-10" of snow this weekend in North Texas.
Yeah, brother and sister lives in Lubbock, I'm in San Antonio. Our 'weather forecasters' here in SA are as useful as tits on a nun. Worthless!

That's a very broad range, hopefully it is less than those numbers especially where you are :)
When the local news gives weather info they speak for all of Texas for some reason. They will say a Tornado is coming in and the storm is 30+ miles from me and all quiet in my area..

So far not even an inch. View attachment 236843
People are going to question me if I ridicule their weather-prediction capacity. My thoughts are that at times the predictability is politically driven and to instill fear-mongering. On the other hand, predictions are intentionally overly predicted (worst case scenario) to minimize loss of life. Years ago, we never used to have to deal with the shitification of weather-reporting and snowfall totals were more or less spot-on.

I try to rely more on the National Weather Service and using my own judgement when visualizing meteorological radar to gauge which areas will get the brunt of the storm. 9 times out of 10 in the last 10 years I've been able to draw an accurate prediction as to which areas would be most impacted and when it would be safe to venture outside again to dig out of the snow.
