Getting the hang of it

Hi Folks

Have upgraded from BI5 to BI6 v6.0.1.8.

Was using Code Project AI with basic config and was working ok. Have switched to the native AI capability.

Can anyone recommend what all I need to configure globally and then on individual cameras as I can see many new options?

One thing I do see is that if something is detected, old config use to say it's a "person" or a "car" with accuracy %. But now its just a yellow box with no such indicator now.

For a newbie, looking for some screenshots and recommended configurations with the new native config - would appreciate it

Thanks

Ok.. After some days I am noticing this config change

Before v6

I had any alert send me 2 screenshots of the alert 1 sec (or something like that) apart so that I have it in email as a record. Was using the external AI module and worked fine.

After v6 and above config

I can see the email still comes - but the screenshot gap is not consistent. Sometimes it's 4-5 sec apart and the object has already moved from the screen.

I think it is depending on the time the native AI takes to determine the object and burn it into the image (like person 80% or car 90%) and then take another screenshot and send it.

How can I avoid this or what is the best configuration for it (can't remember how I had even set it in v5)? Just get 1 screenshot? Get 2 screenshots but make it exactly 1 sec apart and send it?

Can anyone give me a tip on how to fix this best? and where?

Another query

Also I get an email which says blue iris restarted - can't remember how I set it :) . The idea behind it was to get notified when computer rebooted or some update was applied and it restarted. Now I get the email but body is blank. Is there some more info I can put in there or someone who is doing such notification to push / email ? Trying to enrich it just for my info.. Happy to get some ideas what I can do here.

Looking for some tips on basically enhancing user experience on BI6. It's been a while since I have fiddled with any existing settings. So any additional tips or recommendations are most welcome.

Thanks
