I have a PC that runs Blue Iris at my business and I recently purchased a Reolink to put at my home (Ring camera went out in less than 6 months). Online it says it is best to use a VPN to connect my camera at home to my blue iris pc at work. Is this the best way, I never used a VPN before or setup one, which provider is good for camera software?

Yes use a VPN, hope you have lots of bandwidth, streaming a camera 24/7 could chew through the bandwidth! Some brands of routers have built-in Open VPN servers and clients that can make the setup of the VPN tunnel much easier, I hope the Reolink camera works out, that brand is not very popular here due to it's poor night time performance from what I have read on this forum! The only one that works well from what I have read is the door bell ones!

Reolink especially doesn't work well with BI (except the doorbell as you said...I have 2 of them with BI).
