US murders on pace for largest one-year drop on record
The U.S. is on pace for the largest one-year drop in murders the nation has ever recorded, according to an analysis by crime stats expert Jeff Asher.

The big picture: The decline in killings is part of a broader decrease in violent crime following the COVID-era spike. Mass killings in the U.S. also fell in 2025, reaching their lowest level since 2006.

The Real-Time Crime Index, which compiles data from 570 law enforcement agencies, shows a nearly a 20% decline in murders this year compared with the same period in 2024.

The database, which Asher used in his analysis, does not consider manslaughter, self-defense, negligence, or "accidental killings" for the statistics, according to its online glossary.

The database's statistics are currently available through October. The FBI will not release official 2025 violent crime data until sometime next year, though RTCI estimates have historically tracked closely with federal figures.

Other major crime categories measured by the index were also down nationwide and across locations of all population sizes, including motor vehicle thefts (23.2%), aggravated assaults (7.5%) and robbery (18.3%).

By the numbers: New York City and Memphis recorded nearly a 20% drop in murders compared with 2024, and Chicago saw them fall almost 28%.

My comment: I think some of this has to do with Trump deploying the National Guard in the high crime cities.

Jobless claims fall again — and they’re even lower than last year

Much has changed in the U.S. economy since President Donald Trump took over from President Joe Biden almost one year ago, but one thing hasn’t: the low level of layoffs. Companies just aren’t getting rid of many workers.

Initial jobless claims — the number of people who apply for unemployment benefits — fell by 10,000 to a seasonally adjusted 214,000 in the seven days that ended Dec. 20, the government said Wednesday. The report came out a day early due to the Christmas holiday.

How low is that? New claims tend to run around 250,000 to 300,000 a week in a normal economy.

Not only that, but jobless claims show no sign of rising despite lots of turbulence in the U.S. economy. New unemployment filings are actually lower at the end of this year than they were at the end of 2024.

While it’s great news that layoffs are low, the flip side is that most companies are not adding jobs. Economists refer to this trend as a “low-hire, low-fire” labor market.

Still, as long as most people have jobs and feel secure in them, they are likely to buy enough goods and services from businesses to keep the economy expanding at a healthy pace.

Key details: The number of people already collecting unemployment benefits, known as continuing claims, rose by 38,000 to 1.92 million.

Continuing claims have risen in the past few years to a postpandemic high, but they appear to have stabilized in the past few months.

New reports allege up to $76.5 BILLION OR MORE in fraudulent spending in California

This makes Minnesota look like CHILD'S PLAY...and more is going to come out

Rep. Kiley is confirming Slithering Gavin Newsom's California is the "fraud capital of America"

"This latest report was issued by the state auditor - and that's a nonpartisan position - that state auditor now puts 8 state agencies on the high-risk list of agencies to watch out for for things like fraud and mismanagement as well as waste."

"Here's a look at that 92 page report newly added to the high-risk list as California's food stamp program - if the state doesn't get the improper payments under control, it could cost an extra $2.5B!"

"Also on there is the Department of Finance which was tasked with giving out COVID relief funds, critics say $32B of that was taken by fraudsters."

"Then there are infrastructure issues like California's deteriorating dams and also the high-speed train that's already cost taxpayers $18B without a single section of track complete."

"Other reports cite $24B dollars spent on the homeless issue that critics claim the state lost track of."

"More recently there's a report that says California cell phone users paid a surcharge for years to upgrade the state's 9-1-1 system."

CALIFORNIA IS CROOKED!

DOJ says it could take 'a few more weeks' to process Epstein files after receiving more than 1 million additional docs

The Justice Department said Wednesday that it's received a new tranche of records — more than 1 million documents — "potentially" related to Jeffrey Epstein's case, requiring additional time to process them before release.

The DOJ said it "may take a few more weeks" to review the files produced by the FBI and the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York.

"The US Attorney for the Southern District of New York and the FBI have informed the Department of Justice that they have uncovered over a million more documents potentially related to the Jeffrey Epstein case," the Justice Department said on its X account Wednesday afternoon.

Trump-backed conservative Nasry Asfura declared winner of Honduras presidential election

Nasry “Tito” Asfura, the conservative candidate in Honduras endorsed by President Trump, was declared the winner of the country’s presidential election on Wednesday after a weeks-long vote count.

Asfura, the 67-year-old former mayor of the Central American country’s capital city of Tegucigalpa, edged out Liberal Party candidate Salvador Nasralla in a 40.27% to 39.53% vote, according to electoral authorities.

Rixi Moncada of the left-wing incumbent LIBRE Party finished with only 19.19% of the vote.

“Honduras: I am prepared to govern,” Asfura wrote on X. “I will not fail you.”

Trump publicly backed Asfura last month ahead of the Nov. 30 election, warning that if he didn’t win, “the United States will not be throwing good money after bad, because a wrong Leader can only bring catastrophic results.”

“Tito will be a Great President, and the United States will work closely with him in order to ensure the success, with all of its potential, of Honduras!” the president wrote in Nov. 28 Truth Social post, adding, “VOTE FOR TITO ASFURA FOR PRESIDENT” and “MAKE HONDURAS GREAT AGAIN!”

On behalf of the United States, Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated Asfura on his “clear electoral victory” and called on “all parties to respect the confirmed results.”

“We look forward to working with his incoming administration to advance our bilateral and regional security cooperation, end illegal immigration to the United States, and strengthen the economic ties between our two countries,” Rubio said in a statement.

“The United States urges all parties to respect the confirmed results so that Honduran authorities may swiftly ensure a peaceful transition of authority to President-Elect Nasry Asfura,” the top US diplomat added.

Andrew and Epstein is the story that will not go away

Every time you think the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor story must have finished, there is another twist.

The latest batch of documents from the Epstein files includes emails that could further damage his reputation.

Or perhaps his reputation is already at rock bottom and this will only reinforce existing negative impressions.

Public opinion might be divided too, in reaction to this drip-drip of pictures and emails.

There might be some who have had enough of all these seedy headlines and do not want any more Andrew all over their Christmas dinner. They have already formed an opinion and this will only provide further confirmation.

While others will see these latest documents as evidence of the need to press even harder into Andrew's links to Jeffrey Epstein and his circle. What more is there to find, they will ask.

There are still outstanding calls for Andrew to give evidence to a US Congress committee and the US Department of Justice. And these latest emails will only add to the questions.

"Have you found me some new inappropriate friends?" someone called A in Balmoral asks Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's friend and companion who is now serving a 20-year prison sentence in the US for sex trafficking.

Maxwell replies: "I have only been able to find appropriate friends. Will let you know about some church meetings on those dates."

Trump Issues Ominous Message Saying, ‘They’re All Democrats…Enjoy What May Be Your Last Merry Christmas!’

Summary

The transcript features Alex Jones discussing recent developments in the Jeffrey Epstein case. He states that the Justice Department has uncovered over a million additional hidden files related to Epstein in the Southern District of New York, which were allegedly concealed by James Comey and his daughter and not fully turned over earlier. These files are described as damaging to Democrats.

Jones recounts that the CIA approached Donald Trump as president-elect, informing him that Epstein conducted money laundering operations for them dating back to 1982, under the involvement of Bill Barr's father, a high-level OSS figure. He mentions Mike Benz analyzing hundreds of thousands of new documents and notes connections involving Lex Wexner, the CIA, MI6, and Mossad, with Epstein taking over operations from Robert Maxwell, Ghislaine Maxwell's father.

According to Jones, Trump was advised against releasing the files for national security reasons, as they contained salted false information about him and his wife, and most real files had been destroyed. Trump initially agreed but later became angry, accusing advisors of betrayal and demanding full release. Jones claims Trump now states that all individuals on the Epstein list are Democrats, with no Republicans, and describes Democrats as the party of pedophiles, human trafficking, and cover-ups.

Trump's Christmas message on Truth Social is quoted, criticizing Democrats who associated with Epstein, falsely denying involvement, and blaming Trump. The message includes the phrase "Enjoy what may be your last Merry Christmas," which Jones interprets as meaning Democrats will not be happy once files are released, though media spun it as a threat.

Jones mentions similar activities by Peter Nygard, involving fertility clinics, stem cells, artificial insemination, and abortions for personal benefit. He references claims of abuse in the UK involving Prince Andrew (referred to as Andrew Windsor) and Ghislaine Maxwell, including torture with electrical shocks at parties.

The transcript notes that the FBI and Southern District of New York are handing over the million-plus documents to the DOJ for review, amid congressional pressure. Jones claims the Epstein situation has backfired on Democrats and the deep state, with Trump vowing to expose them despite potential economic impacts.

Jones asserts he predicted these events, advised Trump through intermediaries like Roger Stone, and has discussed Epstein's intelligence ties for decades. He criticizes advisors like John Ratcliffe and calls for total political war against opponents.
