I haven't seen the coyotes together in awhile. 1 adult and 2 pups or 2 adults and 2 pups?

Re-lighting my Table Top Fire Pit--WHOOSH!!!!
I bought a few of these Houswise Table Top Fire Pits and filled them with glass fire beads and 100% isopropyl alcohol.
They burn very nicely, with no smoke or odor! But beware when refilling them. The glass beads and the fire pit itself get pretty hot, so the fuel sizzles when you pour it in, creating a cloud of flammable vapor above it.
And if you spill a bit onto your paper tablecloth, that makes things even spicier!

And my deepest apologies to the little scarecrow who was hanging above the flames.

I'm not sure if this is a new hunting technique, but it works!
We heard a mighty "thump" from inside our building, and saw the birds on the ground.
If you watch to the end of the video, you'll the hawk bump into a window, and drop its prey.

I've never seen coyotes so interested in something before! You can see a bird flying into the tree, from the right side, at the start of the video. Then it does something in the tree to dislodge a bunch of debris, and from that point onward the coyotes just won't leave it alone. I cut out a bunch of dead air, where the coyotes were just sitting still and watching, so the entire episode lasted 7 minutes of real time.

I haven't seen 5 together since the pups were little. In fact I thought only 2 pups had survived. But here we are, with a stable population.
Any guesses as to which ones are adults, yearlings, and this year's pups?

I think I see a long, bushy tail to our left, which suggests a squirrel, but there's also something sticking out to our right, which is ????

Those cameras have been there for awhile, and they're the older Amcrest IP5M-T1179EW models. I have at least one of the newer Amcrest IP5M-T1277EW-AI units lying around, and those have far better performance at night. I also have an IPC-T24IR-AS AndyCam, but I haven't swapped everything out because those old cameras had the easy 12 V pickoff by bypassing one diode on the circuit board, for powering my 10 W Tendelux illuminators, and I never did find out how to do the same on any of my newer cameras.
But I did stumble upon this true POE-passthrough 12 V pickoff module:
e.g. it takes POE in, send POE out (not just Ethernet), and provides 12 V on a barrel jack.
So I should be all ready to swap everything out, if I can find a suitable enclosure to box up the 12 V pickoff and my 4-port POE extender/switch.

And I need to fix the mic gain to get rid of that annoying clipping.
But when they're this loud it sounds like they're in my bedroom!

You guys in chi-chi Palos Verdes get bunnies. In North Hollywood it's all skunks and raccoons.
And our raccoons are frisky!!!

They walked down the trail until they were directly in front of the camera, looked both ways and went to town. Ol' boy did not last long either!
