So we want to jump on a 4 camera system w/ NVR right now during black friday

I've narrowed it down to Eufy & Reolink for quality, app & easy monitoring through various services.

There is a great deal on a 4 camera Reolink 4k system w/ NVR for $360 on Amazon right now:

It is a killer price compared to their usual pricing

But how does the quality of Eufy cameras compare to Reolink?

Which 4k cameras are better and which is a better ecosystem.

We would like to add doorbells, glass breakers, water alarms, fire alarms etc to a suite/ecosystem for the house

What does the Hive suggest between these 2?

I should also note that I would prefer 4k colored night vision vs just IR in this system

You won't want to hear it, but unless you only care about what time something happened and overview, most here would pass on both systems as night quality and identify quality for law enforcement will be poor to non-existent.

Ok that was what I just updated my original post to feature, I do want quality 4k colored night vision, not just IR - so these systems are out?

4k color at night needs large sensors and light. Even more expensive cameras can struggle.

No chance those will accomplish what you want.

Thats going to depend on each camera location and ambient light. 10 cameras around your house will have 10 different requirments

There is no magic like on TV. All cameras need light

'Night Color" is an over-used marketing pitch only about 1/2 rooted in reality.
Few locations will provide enough light that even with onboard white LED's that have to be on 100% all night, will deliver acceptable color video.

Do you have any videos you can point to that represent your level of acceptance as to night color video? Some folks are happy with just being able to see, others want enough detail to actually ID the target.

If a small 12-15 entryway, just the addition of a 400 lumen Mr Beams can provide enough added light to be useful in that small area with the onBoard lights from say the 3449 TIOC PRO series (example below) Beyond 20ft the onboard lights arent very useful.

But if you want that same effect in a large yard, plan on adding a lot of bright white flood lights

^and this is 4MP on an ideal MP/sensor ratio. Sensor much larger and better than the less than ideal MP/sensor the OP is looking at.

^^^^^^^
Those are only 4MB though they do have an 8MP model in that series

The other good color camera is the Color 4K-T and X (turret and bullet)

They have NO IR and can't see IR and require light along with the onboard LEDs. If enough light and in some scenes they can do very well.
Onboard lights are on all night

"4K colored night vision, not just IR" - plan to pay more for each camera ..
