Hello everyone,
IMG_20251123_212619.jpg6.png
I am working with a Hikvision DS-KV6133-WME1 (B Version) outdoor intercom unit with a built-in camera. I contacted Hikvision MENA support and they sent me a file with the extension .dav. However, this file appears to be a video recording format, not a firmware package.

I urgently need the correct firmware file in .dig format to upgrade my device. Without the proper .dig firmware, I cannot proceed with the update. I have already tried connecting via RS-232 using MobaXterm and attempted LAN upgrade, but the process fails without the right firmware file.

Has anyone faced the same issue or can share the correct .dig firmware package or a recovery method for this model?

Thank you in advance for your help,
Ashraf

.dav is the usual file extension used by Hikvision firmware. From ages back, it's short for Davinci, a name that's spread around inside the firmware.
What makes you think it's a video file? Did you try playing it?

Hello,

I have a Hikvision intercom system consisting of:
  • One outdoor station: DS-KV6133-WME1
  • Two indoor stations: DS-KH6320-WTE1 and DS-KH6350-WTE1 (each installed in a separate room)

The system is partially working: when someone presses the outdoor station, both indoor stations ring correctly. However, there is no proper audio from the outdoor station — the microphone/speaker do not output clear sound, only static/noise.

In addition, I am not sure how to perform the firmware update safely for the DS-KV6133-WME1. The files I downloaded are confusing (.dav and .dig formats), and I don’t want to risk bricking the device.

Could you please guide me step by step on:
1. How to troubleshoot and fix the audio issue on the outdoor station.
2. How to update the firmware correctly for this model.

Thank you very much for your support.
