OK so just just did the same thing i did with camera 2 and it allowed me to activate the camera and set the IP, that's also now working.

Thank you everyone again for your help, I'd be stuffed without you!

There is no DHCP server (the NVR does not act as one) so it reverts to a random address in the 169.254.x.x address range.

I learned a lot on this thread, oh my gosh I was gonna suggest turning DHCP on on the camera :) Now I know, hope I remember!
