how to recover cameras

I'll start by saying I'm new to camera systems so try to dumb your answers a little,here is my issue I'm a maintenance tech and the building I work in had a break in at the shop,who ever did this took tools and cut all the wires for cameras and took the nvr,I've since replaced the nvr but when i hook it up it wont recognize the cameras,how do I get the cameras back to default and make them hook up to the new nvr, I down loaded the sadp tool and got the nvr online with it but when i try to hook a camera to it it doesn't see it,is there a reset on the camera that will take it back to factory The cameras are Hikvision ,and the nvr is compatible,any help is appreciated

OK, so SADP lists the NVR OK.
What's the model of NVR / does it have PoE ports at the back for the cameras to connect to?

Are the cameras connected to PoE ports on the back of the NVR?
If so, they can't be seen by a PC on the same LAN as the NVR as the PoE ports are on a separate, isolated, network.

Suggestion -
Connect the PC running SADP to an unused NVR PoE port.
With all the cameras connected, power on the NVR, wait a couple of minutes for it to boot.
SADP should list all the cameras and the NVR. Click the Refresh button to make sure all are found.
From what SADP shows, list :
Camera model, firmware version, IP address

Ok,I did what you said and the nvr and cameras are showing up on the sadp,I got one camera to work by resetting it so I'm guessing i'll just have too reset all of em.i'm gonna have questions as far as setting it up also. thank you for the help by the way,,

It sounds like you are making progress.
If you can reset them, presumably they have a reset button, that's probably the easiest way forward, but you will then need to reconfigure them from scratch.

The reason behind knowing that detail was to determine if they have the security vulnerability that allows a configuration file to be extracted without authentication, which can be processed to reveal the password.
Generally it would be possible with firmware versions from 5.3.0 to 5.4.4

I worked on it today I reset all the cameras and had the sadp app going,it showed my nvr and the cams,3 of the cameras showed up on screen they all say active but i cant seem to get the others right ,between the ip and ip4 and ip6 and mac blah blah blah,i just want to view my f**king cams,grrr,I got my ip address and all that info but how do i get that info to the nvr and cams,i know there's a better way than entering it one by one because I'm not doing that I'll play soft ball with the cameras first
