Another False-Alert Thread For Static Objects

I haven't had any luck finding this thread but I'm sure it must exist.

I have a half dozen cameras, some of them are PTZ that I keep on sentry duty where they pan to a position, wait for 30 seconds, pan to another position, wait 30 seconds, pan to the last position wait 30 seconds and repeat the pattern in the opposite direction.

My problem is that at on a couple of these cameras I have vehicles parked in frame, so when it pans to that location it detects motion (from the pan) then it detects a vehicle (that wasn't there moments ago because it was looking elsewhere) and then it pans back causing more motion.

I see there are a few different places to affect what I am doing, disable PTZ causing motion events doesn't seem to be fixing the problem, adding additional confirmation pictures are not fixing the problem.

I can't figure out how to get the Periodic Analysis to flag objects to ignore in frame, I can get it to identify the objects I want to ignore when the camera is looking, but I can't figure out the combination of buttons and zones (which I don't use) to fix this.

Is there a thread describing this exact problem so someone doesn't have to type out the whole solution?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Sorry I didn't think the camera model mattered since I didn't see anywhere to select model of camera in the AI analysis screen.

These are all REOLINK configured as generic ONVIF RTSP devices and are all reporting RTSP events properly.

Obviously the two doing PTZ are PT models, I'm currently away from the machine so can't get exact model numbers, I want to say TrackMix.

Thanks,

This can be a tough issue. I am running into this as well. I have my PTZ set to follow motion and when it moves (camera software driven not BI), it is picking up a tree as a person. There is a box under Motion/Trigger called extend trigger with PTZ movement. Not sure if this would help when the camera is driving the motion and not BI. If there was a way that the camera could send a signal to BI right as it started to move to tell it to STOP detection of motion then send it when it landed to start motion/triggering detection, that would help.

I though the Periodic AI scan could be used to identify stuff and then tell BI that these are static things. I think there is also a way to mark something as static (like my tree person) so that it always knows it is static. For things that might move (cars) I think the settings allow to decrease the number of alarms, but likely wouldn't eliminate them. If you could go to an alarm that was a false positive (where a water tank was identified as say a person) and then mark it in the rules for the periodic AI scan, at would be really helpful.

Here you can see the parked vehicles, which I can live with, but if I could always ignore the "person" water tank and the "cat" propane tank. I could mask those out but also wonder if I could use the periodic AI scan?

If someone has a good handle on how to set this up for common static objects, and can help me understand I would appreciate it. Please no offense but if you can explain it to me as if I am 5 I would appreciate it. Thank you.
