US Elections (& Politics) :)

I fall back to the position that these people are free to say what they want (within Constitutional limits, of course, as no right is absolute), but they are not immune from the consequences of said free speech. If someone doesn't want to employ a sick, vile person who relishes the death of an innocent person who was exercising his First Amendment rights, then so be it.

Where I draw the line is at the bullshit we've seen in the past where people were fired for not bending a knee to BLM, or going along with the sheer nonsense that men can be women and vice-versa. The former is a lack of an action (or lack of speech), and the latter is just wrong from even a basic knowledge of biology.
I do not disagree with you one bit. I just don't know where it ends. We have lost so much as a country: heart, soul, patriotism, humanity, decency, respect....IMO, where does it stop? Does it stop?

I'm that guy who wants to put down anyone with a baseball bat that burns the US Flag....though I know I can't, and I won't, but doesn't mean I don't want to.

Before A Left-Wing Assassin Murdered Charlie Kirk, Chris Wray’s FBI Tried To Destroy Turning Point USA

The Deep State used its investigative tools to try to intimidate or stop Charlie Kirk from being a conservative leader.

Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA was on a short list of Republican groups targeted by President Joe Biden’s FBI under the direction of then-Director Christopher Wray.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, dropped that bombshell Tuesday during a Senate Judiciary Committee regular hearing on the oversight of the FBI, along with a revolting new document.

“It’s well-understood that your predecessor left you an FBI infected with politics,” Grassley said in his opening statement, speaking to current FBI Director Kash Patel. As proof, Grassley shared recently released records listing 92 targets the FBI was investigating or intending to investigate in the large-scale, multi-year political weaponization operation named Arctic Frost, a joint investigation using resources from the FBI, Department of Justice, and Office of Inspector General. This bogus witch hunt involved more than 150 interviews, over 400 subpoenas (largely for bank records), hundreds of witnesses, and search warrants for cell phones of high level government officials, electronic devices, iCloud access, and email accounts.

“Arctic Frost was the FBI case opened and approved by anti-Trump FBI agent [Timothy] Thibault. Arctic Frost became Jack Smith’s elector case against Trump,” Grassley said. “These new records show that Arctic Frost was much broader than just an electoral matter. The case was expanded to Republican organizations. Some examples of the groups the Wray FBI sought to place under political investigation included the Republican National Committee, Republican Attorneys General Association and Trump political groups.”

Grassley said 92 Republican-linked targets, including Turning Point USA, were placed under the investigative scope of Arctic Frost.

“In other words, Arctic Frost wasn’t just a case to politically investigate Trump. It was the vehicle by which partisan FBI agents and DOJ prosecutors could achieve their partisan ends and improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus. Today, Sen. Johnson and I are making these records public for the country to see,” Grassley added.

While the FBI, DOJ, and OIG could have been fighting crime, the Biden Administration instead used these far reaching government agencies to probe the finances of its political foes, fishing for wrongdoing. Where was the probable cause to launch such investigations?

In addition to Turning Point USA or Turning Point Action, the list included numerous entities related to Donald Trump. Here are a few others on the target list: My Pillow, Women for America First, Conservative Partnership Institute, America First Policy Institute, Tea Party Express, Attorney Sidney Powell, Public Interest Legal Foundation, and several entries listed simply as “Giuliani,” likely referencing Rudy Giuliani.

The Deep State used its exclusive access to investigative tools to try to intimidate or stop Charlie Kirk from becoming the next generation’s leader of the conservative movement.

WICS in Springfield, IL is one of the Sinclair stations. I'm familiar with the Sinclair station in Portland, OR, and they are mostly a platform for liberal talking points that are fed to them. When you see the collage videos of multiple stations broadcasting the same word-for-word political points, that's Sinclair.

You know, my gut churns a bit when I read stuff like this. From people being fired for saying bad things about Kirk, also for saying good things about Kirk. I just don't know where this stops at. Its OK to burn the flag in public, its OK to stand in front of City Hall and call all of the members POS's....but someone can't voice their opinion on a single person.

Don't get me wrong, I hate it when they do. But how far are we going to go to stop this type of speech?

My 17 year old daughter had her BFF over (she is like my proxy daughter) and they were telling me about a 12th grade teacher that they have. They know her political standings, she's a vegan, she's green to the core, etc., etc.

What's wrong with this? They shouldn't know SHIT about their teacher's private life. But damn, there's that free speech crap again.

IDK. I have no answers for this.... But I do like the pic of Charlie holding that poor Ukrainian girl in his arms. That really touched me.
If I tell my boss he's a bloviating POS and his wife is a c*** then I get fired should I cry about free speech violations?

If I burn an American flag then get kicked out of the VFW should I cry about free speech violations?

Consequences of my own actions I would say.

I don't disagree with you at all. That's my point. That old saying...just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Tyler Robinson's roommate, Lance Twiggs, a biological male that identified as transgender who was in a romantic relationship with Robinson, provided evidence including a series of text messages from Robinson on September 10, 2025.

Prosecutors say Twiggs received a text message from Robinson which said, “drop what you are doing, look under my keyboard.”

Twiggs looked under the keyboard and found a note that stated, “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.”

Police found a photograph of this note. Prosecutors say the following text exchange then took place: After reading the note, Twiggs responded, “What?????????????? You’re joking, right????”

Robinson: I am still ok my love, but am stuck in orem for a little while longer yet. Shouldn’t be long until I can come home, but I gotta grab my rifle still. To be honest I had hoped to keep this secret till I died of old age. I am sorry to involve you.

Roommate: you weren’t the one who did it right????

Robinson: I am, I’m sorry.

Roommate: I thought they caught the person?

Robinson: no, they grabbed some crazy old dude, then interrogated someone in similar clothing. I had planned to grab my rifle from my drop point shortly after, but most of that side of town got locked down. Its quiet, almost enough to get out, but theres one vehicle lingering.

Roommate: Why?

Robinson: Why did I do it?

Roommate: Yeah.

Robinson: I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out. If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence. Going to attempt to retrieve it again, hopefully they have moved on. I haven’t seen anything about them finding it.

Roommate: How long have you been planning this?

Robinson: a bit over a week I believe. I can get close to it but there is a squad car parked right by it. I think they already swept that spot, but I don’t wanna chance it.

Robinson: I’m wishing I had circled back and grabbed it as soon as I got to my vehicle. … I’m worried what my old man would do if I didn’t bring back grandpas rifle … idek if it had a serial number, but it wouldn’t trace to me. I worry about prints I had to leave it in a bush where I changed outfits. didn’t have the ability or time to bring it with. … I might have to abandon it and hope they don’t find prints. how the f--k will I explain losing it to my old man. … only thing I left was the rifle wrapped in a towel. … remember how I was engraving bullets? The f--kin messages are mostly a big meme, if I see “notices bulge uwu” on Fox New I might have a stroke alright im gonna have to leave it, that really f--king sucks…judging from today I’d say grandpas gun does just fine idk. I think that was a $2k scope.

Robinson: delete this exchange.

Robinson: my dad wants photos of the rifle … he says grandpa wants to know who has what, the feds released a photo of the rifle, and it is very unique. Hes calling me rn, not answering. …

Robinson: since trump got into office [my dad] has been pretty diehard maga. …

Robinson: Im gonna turn myself in willingly, one of my neighbors here is a deputy for the sheriff.

Robinson: you are all I worry about love.

Roommate: I’m much more worried about you.

Robinson: don’t talk to the media please. don’t take any interviews or make any comments. … if any police ask you questions ask for a lawyer and stay silent

Trump to Hamas: If Hamas is using hostages as human shields, all bets are off

US President Donald Trump published a post on Truth Social on Monday, in which he once again called on the Hamas terrorist organization to release all the hostages it is holding.

"I have just read a News Report that Hamas has moved the hostages above ground to use them as human shields against Israel’s ground offensive," Trump wrote.

He added, "I hope the Leaders of Hamas know what they’re getting into if they do such a thing. This is a human atrocity, the likes of which few people have ever seen before. Don’t let this happen or, ALL 'BETS' ARE OFF. RELEASE ALL HOSTAGES NOW!"

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to Trump’s post and said, “Thank you President Trump for your unflinching support for Israel's battle against Hamas and the release of all our hostages.”

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee shared Trump’s post and wrote on X, “Let’s hope the monsters of Hamas listen to President Trump
