On the overhauled new DMSS iOS app, I can’t seem to find the button to advance one frame at a time during video replay. I use that for reviewing LPR footage of a plate.

Anyone know where it’s hiding?

@EMPIRETECANDY can your contacts let us know where the frame by frame advance button is? It’s good to find a good frame of a face or a license plate during replay.

PTZ zoom doesn’t work great either. You can’t hold the “+” or “-“ and have it continuously move in one direction. On iOS app for me, it’s requiring multiple taps and very annoying to use.

Anyone know of any updates on the missing frame by frame advance button? I haven’t found it yet.

I haven’t found it either it is useful

Get it before they update, and then turn automatic updates off.

Several things in the new app annoy me. Such as switching between sub and main stream, there’s no need to select which one you want, just cycle through the two options. Same as grid view, there’s only three, just cycle through 4,9,16 no need for the extra step of selecting one.

Speaking of PTZ, no way to select presets while in landscape view that I’ve found

True.
But while I think the single frame stepping is a true “miss” (no possible way to do it) other things are more user preference.

You can of course select a preset in normal vertical view and then tilt your phone to landscape. One extra click

Limitations on space on small phone screens are evident in MANY apps

True. That’s the way it was before yes?
