I've been looking for a while for a project I want to get done. Something that will be streamlined as its out on a flat side and don't want to add more wind noise to the big brick traveling down the freeways.

They will need to do RTSP/Onvif so I can record them via BI.

You know IP cameras have a lag, 1-2 seconds.

Most vehicle cams are analog which has no lag
 
Sounds like you’re on the right track looking for RTSP/ONVIF support, that’ll make it much easier with BI. For a flat mount setup, I’d keep an eye on camera form factor—low-profile domes or bullets usually help with wind drag and noise. Also worth checking power/connection options so the install stays clean.
 
So far this might be the closest thing. But I am still looking. I can't order it right now as I start traveling soon, so I will order a couple weeks prior to getting back to the homestead.
