Funny / Satire

I love rewatching this...it is the show that spearheaded the Andy Griffith show. Aunt Bee is not Aunt Bee in this...

IDK how to describe it but 72 degrees with the heat On
and 72 degrees with the A/C On are 2 totally different temps.

I can describe it. When you're old you can shiver at 72 with the heat on, and have hypothermia at 72 with the AC on.

So you been talking to my wife? Hahaha

My Dad lived down in the Valley of Texas. Hot, hot, hot down there, you could watch paint peel. Every time I would go down to visit him, his Thermostat was set to 81 degrees and he was cold...lol

In actuality I don't think a 9-1-1 operator would ask you to spell a street name if if was stated clearly (IMO) however, this is purported to be a genuine 9-1-1 call......

It hasn't been easy with my chemo therapy since February and especially during the hotter temps from June to now...wife wants the A/C set to 75 during the day, which is OK, but 72 for sleep at night and that freezes my cahones off. If I go outside in the mid 90's for just a few minutes then come back in to 75 I freeze so I pull on a light long sleeve shirt. In 5 minutes it's OK. It goes up and down like that depending on what ambient temp I spent a few minutes in but it's mainly when the temp goes down. I still can't drink anything cooler than room temp...it's like drinking shattered glass but typically that normalizes OK after about 10 days.

BUT....

I had my 8th and hopefully final IV chemo this past Friday! In the next week or 2 they'll do a CT scan or MRI and we'll see if the tumor has shrunk enough for surgery and/or I'll discuss other options with the doctor. :)

You are in mine and my wife's prayers...the wife had radiation treatment 5+ years ago, being past the five years, tested, she has recovered and got the all clear, this is our prayer for you...

Will you be getting a PET scan?

Thanks for the prayers and that's great news about your wife's experience....and it's very encouraging.

Re: the PET scan; most likely they will do one, I know I had one in March (I think it was about then) after the 30 radiation treatments, it came back pretty clear down at the rectal tumor area, there were a few "shiny specks" in my right lung but they didn't think that was anything to be concerned about.

The DNA of the cancer from blood draws was a 53 in January (bad), 0 in March (VERY good) and 0 again in June (also VERY good) so I am blessed!

So these old people here keep our thermostat at 77 and it is young people approved :), well we drop it to 76 when our daughter in her 40s visits, she grabs a blanket when sitting on the couch. Sometimes we will drop it down to 76 at night.

This summer is a Global warming nightmare, lol, we have not hit 100 yet, guess Global Warming took a break this year :winktongue::lmao:

Our pool as not even gotten to 80 degrees this summer. 76 in the morning and 78 in the afternoon, pool gets plenty of sun till around 4pm...it's been a really nice summer here...
