Notes from the Swamp

They did stop and due to the loud noise we both came out and talked to them.

All the driver would offer up was “someone will call you”

When I say they weren’t going to do anything, that’s from the guy on the phone saying “so can you just get the yard waste guys to pick it up?”
That’s when I became a bit more forceful.

I still would have demanded 50k from the jackass on the phone. lol
I also would have told the idiot driver to call law enforcement for destruction of private property, destruction of public property... he should have gotten points docked on his ticket.

Day before yesterday we had some tree work done front and back. $800. Quite reasonable.

We agreed to leave a tall branch on the camphor tree out front alone because it would make the tree look lopsided.

Yesterday, a truck driver decided we were wrong. (He also decided the people two doors down didn't really need cable)

Spliced 4 camera shots together including the 3 from the Triplesight..
At the end it looks like he got him a turtle.

About 250ft I would guess. Unfortunately overcast and Mr Gator was off to the left
He was moving along pretty quick

Shorter version, juts the action from the middle camera

More pics from Bro in law trail cam in his backyard. Starting to lose their velvet.

He’s trying to sway me into coming up for deer season ;)

Gator Hunt captured

I spliced 10 clips together while learning a new video editor, so be kind ;)

A number of the segments are replays from a different lens so you can get a better idea of the fight.
  • Unfortunately much of the action takes place underwater and on the opposite side of the boat from the cameras.
  • The bright, very bright spotlights play hell with the Triple lens cam.
  • Of course at the last minute the spots all but blind the Triple lens.
  • They spent another 30 minutes tying him and getting him in the boat - ALL BEHIND my Dock so no good video of that. But again it all took place on the opposite side of the boat from the cameras.
  • I'll have to play with some HDR and see if I can minimize those spotlights.
They start about 100yds out and you see the float tied to the hook they initially snagged him with.
I count 4 shots from the bangstick and there was one "lets make sure" shot not shown in the clip as they roped him up behind me dock.

*Best to go to Full Screen and change YT player to 1440p
