Hi Folks,

I have a DS-2CD2387G2-LSU/SL. Originally running firmware V5.7.18, I also tried upgrading to latest V5.7.19.

I'm trying to change the substream settings through the WebUI. When I press "Save" on the SubStream tab, I get an error "The Device Breaks Down". Doesn't matter which setting I change on the tab. I'm able to change all Main Stream settings just fine. The substream also works just fine, but I can't change any settings.

Here are my current sub-stream settings:
Stream Type Sub-Stream
Video Type Video and Audio Stream
Resolution 640*360
Bit Rate Type Variable Bit Rate
Picture Quality Highest
Video Frame Rate(fps) 30
Max. Bit Rate 320 Kbps
Video Encoding H.265
Profile Medium
I-Frame Interval 50
SVC Off
Smoothing 50

I'm trying to change the substream to H264 (since h265 is incompatible with villa indoor station). I've tried upgrading firmware and reboot/reset.

LMK anything I can try - Thanks all in advance!

Hi @dadur604

I have similar DS-2CD2387G2-LU cameras (running at 60 Hz, firmware V5.7.19 build 241207) ... The specs for my camera's sub-stream state:

But I get the "device breaks down" error message if I try to set the sub-stream to 30 fps... The highest I can set the sub-stream is 22 fps... The specs must be wrong because I can set 1280x720 resolution also... Here are the settings I use:

I suspect the stated specs of your model may also be wrong?
