I will have to say I am confused, normally you lower interest rates to help a failing economy yet we are told our economy is strong...not sure why the push to lower interest rates...

Jerome Powell is a lawyer, not an economist. He has blown it many many times in the past. As some of the more recognized economists say, If he was a CEO of a company, he would have been fired a long time ago. The guy is an Idiot! BTW, lawyers are scum bags. To his benefit, I like higher interest rates for my CDs.
