Electrical Inspection Wall Of Shame

"I fixed it boss. The customer said they wanted some up lighting to accent the speaker because they only listen to lite music."
I was thinking it was incandescent and it would run cooler if the top was open like that.....no?

Installer got one thing correct.
When installing a four wire pigtail always separate ground and neutral.
Probably would've been a good idea to also separate neutral and red hot lead.
Strain relief does not appear to have been installed.
Also, for extra points, should have corrected illustration bottom left of center in picture to match install.

A few years ago Lowes deliverer/installer ( I decline to say "tech") reversed the hot and cold water lines to the washer.......and the handles are color-coded red and blue. He had a 50-50 chance of getting it right....

That's why a 4 prong outlet saves lives. Dryers use to be a 3 prong, survival of the smartest.
Yep, NEC required it beginning in 1996 for new construction or re-models.

Got into an argument with the "electrician" (I use the term loosely) that wired the house I had built in 2006; he put in a 3 prong receptacle in the wall for the dryer and had tied the cord's white (neutral) to the dryer's green (ground) at the chassis tie-point at the back of the dryer.

He was pissed because he had to pull about a 30 foot piece of #10/4 Romex in place of the 10/3 had pulled to the 30A breaker, part of it was under the house via the crawl space.
