So I bought an NVR16CH-AI-S2 from Andy in May 2026. I know the PSU and NVR worked initially, as I powered it up on the bench to perform some initial configuration.
It then sat around for a while as I slowly built out the infrastructure in a new building, until this month I finally had enough in place (power etc), that I thought I would do a quick power-on of the NVR, making sure the lights and HDD powered up. (I didn't even have a monitor with me).
Plugged in, switch on, nothing. So I measure DC out of the PSU; 5.x volts... It's meant to be 12v I believe.
Now I know switch-mode-power-supplies can show erroneous outputs when not loaded, but 5v plus a dead NVR makes me think the power supply has had it.
Has anyone else had this? Has anyone measured the output of a known-good Empiretech PSU?
