Hi everyone. First of all, thanks to anyone stopping by who might be able to help or provide some information.

Here’s the situation:
I ordered a 10-inch Android screen from Hikvision for my home.
Product model: DS-KH9510-WTE1(B).

The unit is designed to work with the Hikvision DS-KD8003-IME1(B) outdoor intercom unit.

I received the products and began connecting and configuring them.
After an unsuccessful attempt, I concluded that updating the firmware might be the solution. The update worked for the intercom unit, but when I tried to upgrade the screen's firmware, it simply kept rebooting over and over. After doing some research online, I realized the seller likely misled me and sold me a product that wasn't actually intended for the global market.
It is actually a product intended for the Chinese market that was somehow upgraded to a global version—a process that was improper and incompatible, resulting in a product that is non-functional or not working correctly.
What can be done with the screen? Is there a way to update it to a different version?
...in order to get it working with the outdoor unit.

It is certainly possible. Around a decade ago it was common practice for Chinese-market Hikvision cameras to be sold in the USA after being hacked to have English in their web interface and video overlays, and Hikvision would refuse support for them (even for password reset requests), firmware upgrades would typically revert them to pure Chinese, etc. I have no experience with their intercom units though so no idea what the compatibility issues might be.

Yep, you are likely screwed. Can you return it?

Hikvision (and Dahua) don't sell to us homeowners directly, so unless you are 1000% sure that you have a legit unit that hasn't been hacked into English, attempting to update the firmware screws you over.

Many units being sold on Ali are Chinese hacked units into English that will either brick or go into Chinese upon updating. Some vendors will be upfront and tell consumers that as part of their website, but many do not or the consumer forgets...here is one such example....
